2019年2月18日，中共中央（Central Committee of the Communist Party of China）、國務院（State Council of People's Republic of China）印發《粵港澳大灣區發展規劃綱要》（Outline Development Plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area）。規劃近期至2022年，遠期展望到2035年。
粵港澳大灣區包括香港特別行政區、澳門特別行政區（Special Administrative Region，SAR）和廣東省廣州市、深圳市、珠海市、佛山市、惠州市、東莞市、中山市、江門市、肇慶市（以下稱珠三角九市（the nine Pearl River Delta（PRD）municipalities）），總面積5.6萬平方公裡，2017年末總人口約7000萬人，是我國開放程度最高、經濟活力最強的區域之一（one of the most open and economically vibrant regions in China），在國家發展大局中具有重要戰略地位（a significant strategic role）。建設粵港澳大灣區，既是新時代推動形成全面開放新格局的新嘗試，也是推動「一國兩制（one country, two systems）」事業發展的新實踐。
根據綱要，粵港澳大灣區有五大戰略定位（Strategic Positioning）：充滿活力的世界級城市群（avibrant world-class city cluster）；具有全球影響力的國際科技創新中心（aglobally influential international innovation and technology hub）；「一帶一路」建設的重要支撐（an important support pillar for the Belt and Road Initiative）；內地與港澳深度合作示範區（a showcase for in-depth cooperation between the Mainland and Hong Kong and Macao ）；宜居宜業宜遊的優質生活圈（a quality living circle for living, working and travelling）。

5G高鐵站
5G Railway Station
2019年2月18日,上海移動在虹橋火車站（Hongqiao Railway Station）正式啟動建設5G網絡（5G network）。這將是首個採用5G室內數字系統建設（indoor digital system，IDS）的火車站，計劃在2019年年內完成5G網絡深度覆蓋。
火車站的建設啟動是上海在5G商用步伐（commercial 5G deployment）的重要裡程碑（a key milestone），將為上海建設「雙千兆寬帶城市」（Dual-Gigaband city）奠定堅實基礎。
虹橋火車站是亞洲客流量排名前列的重要交通樞紐（one of Asia's biggest traffic hubs in terms of passenger throughput），也是中國鐵路交通的一張重要名片（showcase）。隨著5G時代的到來，如何更好地利用5G網絡滿足超高人流密度（high-density areas）產生的電話（make phone calls）、上網（access the Internet）、行動支付（make mobile payments）等網絡需求成為運營商不得不面臨的重大課題。

翟天臨博士學位撤回
Doctorate of ZHAI Tianlin revoked
2019年2月19日，北京電影學院發布《關於「翟天臨涉嫌學術不端（alleged academic misconduct）」等問題的調查進展情況說明》，並決定撤銷（revoke） 2018屆博士生翟天臨博士學位（doctorate），取消陳浥的博士研究生導師資格(PhD tutorial qualifications)，其他相關問題的調查工作(investigation)仍在進行中。
翟天臨素來號稱擁有最高學歷的明星（celebrity who is said to have the highest academic qualification），此前在綜藝節目（variety show）中屢秀自己的博士通知書（PhD program acceptance letter）。然而，翟天臨的學霸人設（XueBa image）卻在1月31日的一場直播（livestreaming activity）中崩塌（came to a collapse），當翟天臨被問及他的論文是否能夠在知網（China National Knowledge Infrastructure，CNKI）上查到時，翟天臨反問到「知網是什麼？」，而引起了軒然大波（high attention）。對於任何一個曾經寫過中文學術論文的人來說，翟天臨的回答是非常荒謬的（absurd），就像一個自稱（self-claimed）是化學家的人不知道H20就是水一樣。
