【講解】
course的本義是「流程，過程，路線」；stay the course的意思即是「持續到底」，喻指做亊不顧艱難，堅持到底。例如:I don’t think he is sufficiently dedicated to staying the course.（我認為他不夠堅定，不會堅持到底的。）
A:The teacher told my father that
he was not to be a soldier when
he was young, but he stayed the course,
and finally became an officer.
爸爸小的時候，老師告訴他，
他不適合當一名軍人，
但他仍能堅持不懈努力到底，
最後終於成了一名軍官。
B:He is really a tough man.
他真是一個執著的人。
A:So when you told me that
I couldn't be a reporter, I know I can.
所以當你告訴我說我不能成為一名記者時，
我知道我能。
B:Well, it would be a miracle.
那可真是個奇蹟。
