自2009年以來，在上海市美術家協會的指導下，徐匯藝術館已經成功舉辦了五屆上海銅版畫展，2020年第六屆「上海銅版畫展」為美柔汀特展，意在讓中國觀眾有機會近距離地接觸和感受這門獨特的藝術，也希望通過交流，增進各國藝術家之間的了解，並推動美柔汀銅版畫創作在國內、在上海的發展。
展覽有國際國內21位藝術家參展，參展作品近百餘幅作品，我們將通過線上展廳的形式，為大家帶來每位參展藝術家的詳細介紹、獨家創作視頻以及部分未展出的精彩作品，讓觀眾更加深入了解銅版畫，感受美柔汀的藝術魅力。

《榫卯如蕈》系列作品闡述：
榫卯，不用一釘，渾然天成，天衣無縫。一榫一卯，一轉一折之際，凝結著中國幾千年傳統文化的精粹，蘊涵著古人的哲學理念：陰陽相生相剋，人物和諧相依。其豐富的文化內涵是中華智慧的結晶。然而這源自河姆渡時期、比漢字發明更早的榫卯藝術，如今卻鮮有人知。蕈(xùn)，古代人將菌菇稱之為蕈，泛指菌類。象徵著生命的力，朝氣蓬勃。此主題「榫卯如蕈」的設定是希望「榫卯」這中華傳統文化如同「菇蕈」一般生意盎然、生機勃勃，並得到傳承和發揚。
美柔汀(Mezzotint)是銅版畫表現明暗調子的一種技法。該技法通過搖點刀在光滑的金屬版面上均勻的搖出凹點，以此來製作底版，作品繪製時再用刮刀和壓刀在製作好的底版上進行「刮、 壓」來處理所需提亮塊面。利用凹點密集存墨的方式，在印刷時墨存量足的地方便可印出濃鬱的調子，被提亮過的地方凹點稀疏,存墨量少,在印刷時存墨量的多與少,可以使得明暗層次具有豐富變化。
在製作底版的過程中我選擇先用美工刀或搖點刀在銅版上劃出整齊均勻的線條並將線條以縱橫的方式形成「十字紋」來密集成面，在製作中由於底板是縱橫交錯的紋路形成了如同絹本畫一般的織物的底紋，使得銅版畫富有了中國畫的韻味。
A mortise joint formed by interlocking tenons and mortises is a structural design inspired by nature, with which system two pieces of wood fit perfect and seamless without help of any nails. It contains the essence of the thousand-year traditional culture of China and an ancient philosophical concept: Yin and Yang are promoting and restraining with each other while humans and nature are ever interdependent. Its rich cultural connotation is the crystallization of Chinese wisdom. Nowadays, however, few people know well about the 「art」 of a mortise joint originated from Hemudu Culture and created even earlier than Chinese ideograph. Xùn, name of mushroom for Chinese in ancient times, generally refers to any kind of fungus and symbolizes the vitality and the power of life. The theme of 「Tenon and Mortise like a Mushroom」 is actually a good wish of prosperity, inheritance and development for the traditional Chinese culture.
Mezzotint is a method of engraving on copper or steel to produce light and shade. The smooth surface of the metal plate comes first rocked by a rocker until it is transformed into a rough top evenly covered by small pits and ready for the base plate process. When we draw on it, the parts interested are scraped and pressed to become bright while other parts are untouched or touched less in order to achieve dark tone. Since more presence of pits means more ink deposition in the printing process, adjusting the density of pits by scraper or presser can enrich and obtain a variety of lights and shades.
During the master plate preparation, I decided to draw first vertical and horizontal lines on the surface with a cutter knife or a rocker. Those neat and evenly intersecting lines formed a base of dense cross pattern that could be associated with the texture of Ink and Color on Silk and this would make the copper engravings emanate the charm of a Chinese painting.
