【IMDb名詞釋義】
網際網路電影資料庫（Internet Movie Database，簡稱IMDb）是一個關於電影演員、電影、電視節目、電視明星和電影製作的在線資料庫。
IMDb創建於1990年10月17日，從1998年開始成為亞馬遜公司旗下網站，2010年是IMDb成立20周年紀念。
IMDb的資料中包括了影片的眾多信息、演員、片長、內容介紹、分級、評論等。對於電影的評分目前使用最多的就是IMDb評分。
截至2012年2月24日，IMDb共收錄了2,132,383部作品資料以及4,530,159名人物資料。
IMDb於2010年1月被中國大陸封禁，2013年3月6日解禁。

故事簡介：
克拉麗絲（茱迪·福斯特飾）是聯邦調查局的見習特工。她所在的城市發生了一系列的命案，兇手是一名專剝女性的皮的變態殺人犯「野牛比爾」。克拉麗絲奉命去一所戒備森嚴的監獄訪問精神病專家漢尼拔博士（安東尼·霍普金斯飾），以此獲取罪犯的心理行為資料來幫助破案。漢尼拔是一位智商極高、思維敏捷但高度變態的中年男子，並且是個食人狂魔，他要求克拉麗絲說出個人經歷供自己分析以換取他的協助。
不久，又發了出現一具女屍。克拉麗絲發現了兩個新線索：其一，死者背部被剝去了兩塊菱形的皮；其二，死者喉嚨裡有個小手指大的蟲繭。據昆蟲專家分析，這是源於亞洲的一種蛾，稱為「地獄昆蟲」。
又有一位女子被綁架了，這一次是參議員的女兒。克拉麗絲向博士求助，博士仍對她進行心理分析，克拉麗斯說出童年的最痛苦的回憶是父親去世後的一段日子。博士提示克拉麗絲，蛾的特徵是變，由蟲變成蛹，又由蛹變成蛾，「野牛比爾」也想變，由於童年時遭到過繼母的虐待，比爾產生了一種變態心理，他去過三家變性手術中心，但是遭到了拒絕……他們的談話被主治醫生奇頓竊聽去，他想搶頭功，於是對漢尼拔進行審訊，然而一無所獲。
後來博士被轉移到另一家監獄。克拉麗絲聞訊趕來，經過一番詢問，漢尼拔了解了克拉麗絲為什麼總會聽到羔羊的慘叫，可正當她要求博士說出兇手的名字時，奇頓帶衛兵趕來把克拉麗絲架走了。不久，博士利用奇頓丟下的原子筆的金屬絲打開了手鐐，殺死了衛兵，逃之夭夭。
克拉麗絲一個人繼續尋找線索，逐漸把對象鎖定在一個叫詹姆·伽姆的人身上，因為他曾在海關提過一箱來自蘇利南的活毛蟲，還去過變性中心。克拉麗絲找到了「野牛比爾」的住處，她和兇手在陰森的地下室裡發生了激烈較量，最後克拉麗絲擊中了詹姆，救出了參議員的女兒。「野牛比爾」被擊斃了，然而更危險的人物卻又出現了。在慶功會上，克拉麗絲接到了漢尼拔博士的電話，電話掛斷後，漢尼拔戴著墨鏡，無聲地進入人流，尋找他的獵物——奇頓去了。

Young FBI agent Clarice Starling is assigned to help find a missing woman to save her from a psychopathic serial killer who skins his victims. FBI agent Jack Crawford believes that Lecter, who is also a very powerful and clever mind manipulator, has the answers to their questions and can help locate the killer.
