　　The 55-kilometre Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge represents one of the most extraordinary engineering feats of China. Connecting three cities, the bridge, with the longest undersea tunnels, is ranked the longest sea-crossing bridge in the world, drastically reducing journey times between the three cities from three hours to thirty minutes. The reinforced concrete bridge with long spans stands as a testament to the engineering might of the Chinese that they are capable of completing record-breaking constructions. The bridge, as the key part of the Development Plan for the Greater Bay Area, will boost regional integration and economic growth. China hopes to turn the Greater Bay Area into a region that rivals the Bay Areas of San Francisco, New York and Tokyo in terms of technological innovation and economic prosperity.
