Jacques is a writer living in Paris. He hasn’t turned 40 but already mistrusts that the best in life is yet to come. Arthur is a student living in Brittany. He reads and smiles a lot and refuses to think that everything in life might not be possible. Jacques and Arthur will like each other. Just like in a lovely dream. Just like in a sad story.
Leading Actor: Vincent Lacoste
From art-house cinema to buddy movies, Vincent Lacoste’s repertory is far from monotonous. Shooting to fame upon acting in The French Kissers directed by his mentor Riad Sattouf in 2009 at the age of 14, the French actor has become the favorite of the national cinema scene in a very short time. After a few comedy movies like Victoria by Justine Triet, he got the opportunity to show the depth of his acting several times, and notably in Hippocrate, in which he portrays a young intern confronted with many difficulties and responsibilities due to his profession as a physician. For his first movie role, Vincent Lacoste won the Lumieres Awards for most promising actor in 2009. In 2016, he is awarded the Prix Patrick Dewaere, which is given to a talented newcomer on the French cinema scene. His role in Christophe Honoré’s latest movie Sorry Angel, didn’t go unnoticed and earned him several rewards such as Best Actor at the Carbourg film festival and the Crystal Globe 2019. More recently, he was unanimously approved by the critics for Sorry Angel by Christophe Honoré, a love story between two men in the 90’s with against an AIDs epidemic backdrop.Starring in four movies in 2019, he is the rookie of the year!
