It all begins in Buenos Aires, Argentina, sometime in 1971. Carlos Robledo Puch is a 19-year-old boy with an innocent, angelic face, but he's a vocational thief as well, who acts ruthlessly, and without remorse. When he meets Ramón, they follow each other down a dark path of crime and death. Lorenzo Ferro (also known as Toto Ferro) was born in 1998 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He is an Argentine actor who rose to fame for his debut film role in the Argentine film, EL ÁNGEL (2018), which is a biographical crime drama, inspired by the true story of Argentine serial killer, Carlos Robledo Puch. Lorenzo Ferro is the son of Argentine actor Rafael Ferro.

Brilliantly directed by Luis Ortega with a great Screenplay Written by Luis Ortega together with Rodolfo Palacios & Sergio Olguín. Executive Produced and Presented by Pedro Almodovar ~ and you can see why, when you watch this film, because it’s as enrapturing as VOLVER and many other Almodovar films. I am really excited to see what Lorenzo acts in next, he is definitely an up and coming young actor to watch out for! I am also curious to seek out and watch Luis Ortega's other six previous films, and I'm just as curious to see what he comes up with next. If you enjoyed movies such as MUSEO (2018), ROJO (2019), VOLVER (2006), and THE TRUST (2016), then you will definitely enjoy this highly original film! [8/10]

Abortionist Vera Drake finds her beliefs and practices clash with the morals of 1950s Britain–a conflict that leads to tragedy for her family. Easily one of the most haunting, harrowing and gripping films Writer/Director Mike Leigh has ever done, with Imelda Staunton (Downton Abbey) giving the peak performance of her entire career in this stunningly harsh look at British life in that particularly tough era. A very tough story to film with brilliant performances from the entire cast, in fact this was the film that brought Eddie Marsan to my attention, as an actor with great ability. The casting for each and every role in this film is absolutely perfect. [8/10]

A portrait of Lord Longford, a tireless British campaigner whose controversial beliefs often resulted in furious political debate and personal conflict. Featuring a resounding piece of filmmaking from Director Tom Hooper and Writer Peter Morgan, with some incredible acting from Jim Broadbent and Samantha Morton. It’s a slow moving film, but the pace is well suited to the story and allows the excellent acting to stand out.

This is definitely a 'less is more' sort of film, so your patience will pay off. After directing LONGFORD, Tom Hooper would go on to direct higher profile films, in 2015 The Danish Girl, in 2012 Les Misérables, in 2010 The King's Speech, and in 2009 The Damned United, each to critical acclaim. While Jim Broadbent is probably best known for his roles in the Harry Potter franchise, definitely see him in, THE SENSE OF AN ENDING (2017), VERA DRAKE (2004) and TOPSY-TURVY (1999) for other examples of his best acting roles! Samantha Morton is well known for playing the role of Debbie Curtis (as the wife of JOY DIVISION vocalist Ian Curtis) in the brilliant 2007 biopic, CONTROL, which is also a definite must see film. [7/10]
