從上面這個例子，我們也能學到「長了白頭髮」，用英語可以說：turn/go gray。再舉個例子：
My father's hair is going gray.
我父親的頭髮漸漸變成灰白。
說到這，你可能還會問：「黑髮」是black hair嗎？
是的！「黑髮」可以說black hair，或者dark hair。
比如：
My father had thick black hair，greying at the temples.
我的父母有著濃密烏黑的頭髮，但如今兩鬢已見斑白。
值得注意的是，「黃頭髮」不能直接說yellow hair。
yellow在西方文化中有一定的「歧視」意味，比如雖然我們常說亞洲人是黃種人
但不可以用yellow來描述，會給人一種種族歧視的感覺，一般直接用Asian（亞洲人）來描述。
描述「黃頭髮」也是同理，一般不說yellow hair，而會說 blonde hair。
blonde/blɒnd/ 也可寫作blond，多指毛髮「亞麻色的，金黃色的，淺茶褐色的」。blonde也可以指「金髮女郎」。
舉兩個例子：
Xiaoban had her hair dyed blonde.
小版把頭髮染成了金黃色。
She’s not just a dumb blonde.
