Globevisa Group yesterday revealed the company semi-annual report on the Immigration Tendency. With significant growth in performance due to a high number of applicants, GV Overseas Business Development Director, Hannah Ma, expressed optimism in next quarter’s performance, considering impactful political factors in the United State and Hong Kong, China. With the major push factor, the company expects to capture 35 per cent future growth in its immigration & citizenship planning business.
According to Ma, enquiry number for Canada, Australia, USA, Taiwan, Malaysia and Singapore immigration has increased by 25% within the last 2 weeks. With insecurity as the major push factor in human migration, the concerns including differences in political views, personal safety, children’s education, are raising around the world in the 21st century.
In January 2019, 「Survey Findings on Views on Emigration from Hong Kong Released by Hong Kong Institute of Asia-Pacific Studies at CUHK」, points out that Hong Kong livable scale has dropped to 62.1 (out of 100). At least 1/3 (34%) of the younger generation Hongkongers are desperate to leave Hong Kong due to personal reasons.
Another research, 「The AfrAsia Bank Global Wealth Migration Review 2019」 conduct by AfrAsia Bank and New WorldWealth, states that there was a significant increase in the number of High net worth individuals (HNWIs) in over 150 cities migrated in 2018. The total number was increased by 13% compared to 2017, and the majority of the HNWIs were from China and Russia.
However, leaving and immigrating might not be as easy as imagined. 「As people leaving the country from the United State to Canada, Hong Kong to Taiwan, these movements have created new concerns in destination countries. As a result, the bar of applying and its approval rate is in a drastic change. Alternative options are needed in response.」 Hannah Ma, GV Overseas Business Development Director at the reveling venue, said.
Despite the problems, Ma believes there is 「no better place」 like Globevisa, and she is certain that the company’s establishment in non-mainstream immigration programs/ destinations will allow middle-class applicants and applicants who have specific conditions, which stop them from migrating to another country will 「have a way out」
