歡迎來到老何的秘密寫作課。今天我們講如何寫狀語從句。
狀語所謂狀語從句，就是把整個從句當成一個副詞，用來修飾動詞和形容詞。
我們可以簡單的把這種從句稱為副詞性從句。
狀語從句根據功能可以大致分為九大類-- 時間，地點，原因，目的，結果，條件，讓步，比較和方式。
狀語從句的位置比較靈活。一般來說，我們放在句首或者句尾。
下面老何用例子分別講解各類最常見的狀語從句。
1.時間狀語從句。
我們以when, while為例，
1)when的意思相當於「在......時候」，「當......時候」。
比如，
他走了之後我開始做作業。I started my homework when he left.當他到達的時候，我正在打電話。I was telephoning when he arrived.等他回來我將告訴他這件事情。I'll tell him about it when he comes back.
2)while意思相當於「在......期間」。表示某一段時間內發生的動作。
比如，
我正在洗澡的時候，電話鈴響了。The phone rang while I was taking my bath.門鈴響的時候，我正在看電視。The doorbell rang while I was watching TV.
2.原因狀語從句。
我們以because，since為例。
1)Because表達原因的語氣最強，可以用來回答why引導的問句。
比如，
我的兄弟們不喜歡我，因為我長得又帥又成功。My brothers dislike me because I'm handsome and successful.
2) since一般情況下表示人們已經知道的事實，這種原因不需要去強調。
比如，
你是英語專業的，我猜想你能幫我解決這個問題。Since your an English major, I guess you can help me with this sentence.
3.目的狀語從句。
表示做某件事的目的，通常情況下從句中我們常含有情態動詞，比如can， could， may， might等。我們以so that為例。
我的父親關掉了電視，這樣我就可以安靜的學習。My father turned off the TV so that I could study in peace and quiet.我講的很慢又清楚，這樣觀眾就能聽懂我的話。I spoke slowly and clearly so that the audience could understand me.
4.結果狀語從句。
我們常用，so... that, such... that來表示結果狀語從句。
1）so...that... 這個句型裡，so後面接形容詞或副詞。
比如，
月球足夠大，足以容納數以百萬計的人口。The moon is so large that several million people could live there.這個實驗的結果如此的優秀以至於許多學者擔憂他們是偽造了數據。The result of this experiment was so impressively excellent that some scholars even accused them of fabricating their data.
2)such...that...。在這個句型裡，such後面要接名詞。
比如，
他是一位好老師，所有的人都喜歡他。He's such a good teacher that everyone likes him.
5.條件狀語從句。
我們常用if來引導條件狀語從句，意思為「如果......」。
比如，
冬天來了，春天還會遠嗎？If winter comes, can spring be far behind?如果你只是等在那兒，不做任何事情，你將永遠不會成功。You'll never make it if you just wait there without doing anything.
6.讓步狀語從句。
我們以although為例。
儘管他努力了，但他還是失敗了。Although he tried hard, he failed.儘管宴會上我一個人都不認識，但我仍然玩得很開心。Although I didn't know anybody at the party, I had a very good time.
7.比較狀語從句。
我們以as...as...,than...為例。
1)as...as... 意思是像......一樣。
比如，
這項工作不像你想像的那麼難。The work is not as difficult as you think.這間房子沒有我們昨天看到的那件大。This room is not as large as the one we saw yesterday.
2)than...
請注意只有兩個同類的事物才能比較。
比如，
我比他高。He's taller than I.南方的天氣比北方的天氣潮溼。The weather of the south is wetter than that of the North.（請注意不要寫成the weather of the south is wetter than the North）
8.方式狀語從句。
我們以the way，like為例。
按照教給你的方式那樣去做。Do it the way you were taught.好好的生活，就像這裡是人間樂土一般。Live well like it's heaven on earth.
9. 地點狀語從句。
通常情況有where引導，是主句事情發生的場所。
比如，
通常來說，有工廠的地方空氣汙染都會很嚴重。Generally air will be heavily polluted where there are factories.有學校的地方，司機應當慢行。A driver should slow down where there are schools.
以上就是9種狀語從句。
狀語從句比較靈活，種類繁多，咋一看起來比較複雜，但是我們只要抓住這些簡單的例子，熟悉之後，慢慢深入理解，寫出好的狀語從句就不再難了。
