科特·唐納德·柯本（Kurt Donald Cobain，1967年2月20日——1994年4月5日），美國歌手，搖滾樂隊Nirvana樂隊的主唱兼吉他手、詞曲創作人。1967年2月20日出生於華盛頓州阿伯丁。後來組建了震驚世界的Nirvana樂隊。1994年4月5日，因不堪忍受胃痛、藥物及商業化運作帶來的壓力，以及一味受到粉絲追捧，深感自己的音樂不被理解，在西雅圖家中開槍自殺，時年27歲。代表作有《Smells Like Teen Spirit》《Come As You Are》《Lithium》《About A Girl》等。
柯本就是就像太宰治一樣，洋溢著才華，散發著憂鬱，懷揣著希望，走向求死的道路。
nirvana，我認為柯本的人生在他在阿伯丁的北橋橋洞流浪時就已經帶上了濃濃的灰色。無家可歸，遊蕩在阿伯丁街巷，蜷縮在橋洞裡，從暗綠的威西卡暗綠的河水中釣魚充飢。
出生時孩提時期的溫馨美好，到突然的劇變，冷漠悲慘的現實將毫無準備的柯本推下了冰冷的河流中，讓其自生自滅。
流浪過的柯本懷揣著夢想漸漸浮出水面，就像他的樂隊名nirvana涅槃一樣。他漸漸的遇到了一群人，一起生活，一起追逐夢想，互相欣賞愛慕的人。柯本開始向世界張開他的歌喉，他用嘶吼來發洩鬱悶，向世人吐露心聲。
柯本走向巔峰，完成了夢想，成為了搖滾巨星，卻因疾病和心病染上了毒癮，在抑鬱的最後開槍自殺。
柯本將Grunge Rock這種搖滾形式推到了頂峰.一顆異常敏感的內心，加上非凡的流浪之旅，才發出那種讓全世界人震撼的嘶吼。柯本的每一首歌都是撕心裂肺的痛。
垃圾搖滾（Grunge Rock）是為了抗議搖滾樂在日漸華麗的外表背後越來越蒼白空洞的靈魂而產生的，貝克（Beck）、垃圾（Garbage）樂隊等搖滾藝人在借鑑各種音樂元素特色的基礎上，發展成音樂形式，使搖滾樂得以復興。

punk is musical freedom. it's saying,doing and playing what you want.in webster'stems,"nirvana"means freedom from pain,suffering and external world,and that's pretty closr to mt definition of Punk Rock.
