本文作者@ÆstheticsOvNhlsm和死酒神的長期合作者Payton Fu一樣，都是長期活躍在北美地下極端金屬現場的音樂愛好者。但他更純粹的針對於黑金屬音樂，因此死酒神特別邀請他提供他的2017年黑金屬榜單，並且增加了他之前在微博上更新的版本中沒有的專輯和介紹。

這是我心中2017年最棒的一首黑金屬——來自荷蘭的匿名黑金屬樂隊Solar Temple成員未知，成立時間未知，地理位置未知，但是直接在美國神秘主義黑金屬廠牌Fallen Empire Records旗下發行了第一個Demo，僅僅只有一首長達15分鐘的歌曲。歌曲有涇渭分明的兩個部分——前5分鐘左右是祭祀儀式般反覆但是又不讓人失去理智的riff，伴隨晦澀的吟唱，在神秘的氛圍聲中進入第二部分——營造比前5分鐘更加致幻更加致命的海市蜃樓般的景象，聽覺上並沒有其他黑金屬的撕裂感，給人以一種肉體上的衝動——無論是破壞還是建立；Solar Temple給人的感覺更多是精神和神志上的折磨和升華，在簡單的riff反覆中引誘你走向深淵。

見過兩次這個費城的黑金屬奇才A.P.，第一次是在去年的Zhrine巡演，上一次是9月的Red River Family Fest. 他目前參與的計劃有Entheogen, Esoterica, Krieg, Lithotome, Martröð, Skáphe，其中Chaos Moon是他從04年就開始堅持的個人計劃，直到最近幾年他才下定決心將ChaosMoon發展成full lineup。這張專輯Eschaton Mémoire前後多次流產並且人員變更，在推倒多次以後，Alex終於找到了Chaos Moon的方向——用人類情感的載體來崇拜死亡以及凡人終有一死的恐懼。自我意識的存在是壓力，它的解散、消亡又給予存在莫大的解脫。從Resurrection Extract到Amissum再到EschatonMémoire，AP將他的幻覺與現實的邊界完全打破，致幻劑給他帶來的不再是純粹的刺激——而是藝術直覺與自我反思。

US/Island Nihilism duo, A.P. and D.G. againbring more desolation of self-inflicted hallucination, more doubt on humanexistence. This untitled demo is the most haunting and distorting piece evercreated by Skáphe – like the band stated, this is the extraction of the end. Typical weird unearthly Skáphe riff melded with hellish growls, this mid-tempopiece extends to 22 minutes without feeling lengthy at all. Part of VII wasperformed at @Red River Family Fest MMXVII, and I was fortunate to witness thishappening for first time in history, with H.V. from Wormlust joining force asvocalist.

這是我這段時間編輯過的最長的一篇文章，對於作者也是。每年都會有很多精彩的極端金屬作品，不論是黑金屬音樂或者死亡金屬音樂亦或者是別的音樂。很多時候主流樂迷的關注點只會在那些人盡皆知的大牌樂隊上，大部分網站的年度榜單更像是流行樂壇的年度影響力歌手排名，然後各大藝人的粉絲在為自己的偶像瘋狂拉票——這是愚蠢的。一個真正欣賞極端金屬音樂的人應該懂得在不同的渠道上找到好的音樂，通過大量的聆聽、分析和思考，找到自己的審美同時也找到那些真正好的音樂。所以我更喜歡和大家分享這些作者的點評，看這類文章主要也不是為了看那些隨處可見的樂隊logo，而是從這些作者的列表中尋找一種聽音樂的角度，一些他們花了整一年的時間找到的好的音樂作品。
