Christmas Message from CPUAAI President

From my own family and my family at CPUAAI, I would like to greet you all a Merry Christmas and a prosperous COVID 19-free new year.
我謹代表我的家人和我在CPUAAI的家人，祝大家聖誕快樂，新年快樂。
We are celebrating this Christmas and switching on the decade long tradition of Festival of light and music at CPU every 1st week of December. Last year and in previous years, we opened the Festival of light at CPU amidst the nearly hundreds to thousands present live at CPU and on other social platforms.
Unfortunately, this year 2020 we cannot do it live here at CPU campus with the same number of spectators in the past because of the unseen enemy – COVID-19.
The CPUAAI through a series of meetings, both zoom and personal, have decided to go on with the traditional Festival of Lights. We had this in mind that no amount of Pandemic can ever prevent or stop us in bringing light and hope to Christianity this Christmas.
As this year’s theme says it all: Kasanag kag Paglaum sa Paskwa.
我們正在慶祝這個聖誕節，並在12月的第一個星期在菲律賓中央大學啟動長達十年的傳統的光明節。去年和前幾年，我們在菲律賓中央大學和其他社交平臺上舉辦了光明節，現場有近數百到數千人。
不幸的是，在2020年，我們不能在菲律賓中央大學校園裡和過去一樣多的觀眾來做這件事，因為我們看不見的敵人——COVID-19。
CPUAAI通過一系列的會議，包括zoom和個人，決定繼續傳統的燈節。我們心中有這樣的想法：再大的流行病也不能阻止我們在今年聖誕節給基督教帶來光明和希望。
正如今年的主題所言：人民的光明與希望。
Just like in the past, where CPU was struck by typhoons, we did not surrender because of our faith in God. These are all trials in our lives and God is testing our faith. Maybe God allowed these things to happen to test us on how our faith can last. Just like the story of Job in the Holy Book.
就像過去中央大學遭受颱風襲擊一樣，我們沒有因為對上帝的信仰而投降。這些都是我們生命中的試煉，神在考驗我們的信心。也許神讓這些事情發生是為了考驗我們的信心。就像聖經中約伯的故事一樣。
The Christmas lights and music at Central will bring Kasanag kag Paglaum sa katawhan this Christmas. It’s a sign of courage and bravery and not giving up on our Faith. This what CPU is all about – Scientia et Fides, Science and faith.
中央廣場的聖誕彩燈和音樂將為這個聖誕節帶來人民的光明與希望。這是勇氣和勇敢的標誌，我們並沒有放棄我們的信仰。這就是科學與技術，科學與信仰。
And to our Kasanag kag Paglaum, the source of power, our King, – our beloved Jesus Christ. Thanks to all. Again, Merry Christmas. God bless CPU! God bless CPUAAI! God bless us all!
