rise:
不及物動詞，表示上升，升起，上漲，常用在日，月，雲等主語後。
eg: The moon has risen above the hills.
arise:
不及物動詞，表示出現，發生，產生，主語常常是表示困難，分歧，矛盾的詞，如，difficulty，quarrel， mis-understanding，disagreement等
常用短語為arise from/out of sth，表示由……引起；因……產生
eg: They are talking about problems arising out of the lock of communication.
raise:
為及物動詞，表示招募，提高，養育，舉起。可用於被動
eg: We should raise standards of our school.
arouse:
表示，激起，喚醒，可用於被動語態
eg: He was aroused from his sleep by the doorbell.

以下純屬個人意見：
四者的區別對於我們來說可能就是有時模糊記不住他們的意思，所以考試的時候難以做出選擇。所以還是得把詞和意搭配上。
