蓮花生大士千年前驚世預言信
Padmasambhava (Guru Rinpoche)’s shocking predictions made thousands of years ago
許多人都知道七百多年前的法國大預言家諾查丹馬斯的驚世預言，但是很少有人知道藏傳佛教的創始人蓮花生大士在一千多年前對我們這個時代的預言，很多預言在今天看來是那樣的令人震驚和發人深省。
Many people are aware of the French prophet Nostradamus’s shocking predictions which was made more than 700 years ago, however few people know that Padmasambhava (also known as Guru Rinpoche), the founder of Tibetan Buddhism, had made many predictions of our times a thousand years ago, some of them seem to be so shocking and thought-provoking today.
熟悉或了解藏傳佛教的朋友都知道蓮花生大士，他是藏傳佛教的創始人。在佛教的記載中，蓮花生大士是古印度鄔金國人，是阿彌陀佛、觀音菩薩和釋迦牟尼佛的身口意三密之應化身，為利益末法時期之眾生而化生於人間。
People who are familiar with or understand Tibetan Buddhism all know Guru Rinpoche, the founder of Tibetan Buddhism. In Buddhist scriptures, Guru Rinpoche was born in the kingdom of Oddiyana in ancient India, he was a nirmanakaya of Amitabha, Avalokiteshvara and Shakyamuni Buddha in the three mysteries of body, mouth and mind, upapaduka-yoni among the livings in order to benefit all sentient beings in this period of degeneration of the dharma.
公元八世紀，應藏王赤松德贊迎請入藏弘法，他以密宗法術——收服藏地兇神邪崇，使之立誓擁護佛法。他還教導藏族弟子學習譯經，從印度迎請無垢友等大德入藏，將重要顯密經論譯成藏文，創建顯密經院及密宗道場，發展在家、出家兩種僧團制，奠定了西藏佛教的基礎。
In the eighth centuries, upon requests from Trisong Detsen, the king of Tibet, Guru Rinpoche was welcomed to Tibet to propagate Buddhist doctrines, he used Tantra mantras to subdue evil spirits and demons who then vowed to support the Dharma preached by the Buddha in Tibet. Guru Rinpoche also taught Tibetan disciples to learn how to translate scriptures, welcomed Vimalamitra and other most virtuous people to Tibet from India, translated the important sutras and shastras of the exoteric and esoteric Buddhism into Tibetan, he also founded the exoteric and esoteric colleges and constructed Tantra monasteries, developed two monks group systems for laymen and pravrajana, which all laid the foundations for Tibetan Buddhism.
因此，蓮花生大士被認為是藏傳佛教初興之時的大阿闍黎（金剛上師），開創了藏傳佛教。藏族人民非常敬愛蓮花生大士，因此稱他為「咕嚕仁波切」，意為「寶上師」或「珍貴的上師」，或有時稱他為「白瑪卡拉」或「白瑪炯涅」。
Therefore, Guru Rinpoche was regarded as Acharya (Vajrayana Guru) at the beginning of the rise of Tibetan Buddhism, he created Tibetan Buddhism and have been much respected by Tibetan people. Guru Rinpoche means 『Greatest Guru』 or 『Precious Guru』, or sometimes called him Padmakara or Padmasambhava.
許多金剛乘弟子都知道，昔日蓮師弟子曾向鄔金教主蓮花生大士請教說：「請上師慈悲開示，末法惡世的時代，是什麼時候來臨呢？」蓮師很慈悲地說道：「當鐵鳥在空中飛行（即天空中有飛機飛行），鐵馬在地上奔馳（火車和汽車）的時候，就是末法時代到來，這個時候佛教密法將會興盛並且弘傳全世界。
Many Vajrayana disciples know that Guru Rinpoche’s disciples used to ask Oddiyana Buddha-Guru Rinpoche for advice: "Honourable Guru, would you please kindly tell us when the period of degeneration of the dharma is coming?" Guru Rinpoche said compassionately: "When the iron birds fly in the sky (i.e. there is a plane flying in the sky), and when the iron horses run on the ground, then the period of degeneration of the dharma arrives, at that time Tibetan Buddhism will flourish and spread the world.
在這個末法時候，全世界會出現這樣的情形，君王不像君王，人臣不像人臣，父親不像父親，兒子不像兒子，父子更像是玩伴。女人不守貞節，男人淫慾不檢，佛教末法的許多敗相徵兆都浮現了。」
During this period of degeneration, the world will be like this, kings do not behave like kings, ministers not like ministers, fathers not like fathers, sons not like sons, and fathers and sons are more like playmates. Women are not virtuous, lust makes men disorderly conduct, and lots of devastating signs are emerging during this period."
蓮師又預言說：「很奇妙啊！那個時代的車子不用馬匹來拖拉，自己可以發動行駛。很奇妙啊！那個時代的青少年，為什麼腳底下要踩著牛角，且裝上輪子滑來滑去呢？很奇妙啊，那個時代的人們，不必出門，每天只要坐在鏡子前面，就可以知天下世事了，且更可互通訊息啊！真是神奇啊！」也許大家看到這裡都明白，汽車， 滑板，液晶屏，都是現代人很熟悉的東西了。
Guru Rinpoche also predicted that: "Marvelous! The cars of that era do not drag on horses, they can start running themselves. Marvelous! The youth of that era, why treading on the horns, sliding round on wheels? Marvelous! The people of that era, do not need to go out, just sit in front of the mirror every day, one can know and understand world affairs, and exchange messages with one another! It is amazing!" Maybe we can see it all here, automobile, sliding board, liquid crystal display screen, are all very familiar to the modern people.
蓮師進一步說，那個時代，很多出家人追求名利，雲遊四方欺騙信眾，處心積慮收取別人的財物，擁有個人私產但卻不做佛事，不誦經文而沉湎於歌舞娛樂之中，破戒卻心中沒有愧疚。
Guru Rinpoche added, a lot of monks of that era pursuit of fame and fortune, roam around and cheat on followers, deliberately plan to take other people's possessions, have personal properties but do not do any Buddhist services, do not chant sutras and indulge in singing and dancing entertainment, break the commandments whereas never ashamed of themselves.
關於眾生，蓮師說：那個時代，會有女子在夫妻間進行挑撥（第三者插足），不孝的兒女將父母趕出家門，兄弟間為家產打架，造下五業卻不起慚愧心，佛陀的教育漸漸淪喪。近親之間會出現亂倫，很多人沉溺於賭博之中，癮君子整天吞雲吐霧，酗酒的人貪戀杯中之物，佛像法本器物淪落到市井上成為商品，很多人將祖先傳下的珍寶賣給外國人，由於濫砍濫伐造成水土流失，導致自然災害頻發，城市裡盜賊四起，乞討的人遍布城市。
Regarding to all sentient beings, Guru Rinpoche said, at that time, there will be women causing dissension between husband and wife (a 3rd party involved in the breakdown of a marriage); unfilial children kick their parents out of the house; brothers fight for the property; people do five evil things/karma without shame, the Buddha’s teachings gradually fall into decline. Incest between close relatives; people get addicted to gambling; drug-takers smoke all day; alcoholics hooked on drinking; the Buddha image, scriptures, implements used in Buddhist service become commodities in the marketplace; many people sell the treasures received from their ancestors to foreigners; water loss and soil erosion due to severe deforestation, which in turn cause frequent natural disasters; robbers and beggars all over the place in the city.
鐵龍年魔眾入水域，（2000年即藏曆鐵龍年：發生震驚世界的俄海軍庫爾斯克號核潛艇海難等）水災地崩惱害眾人命，鐵蛇年魔眾入風雷霜雹，殃及眾生遭逆苦困厄（2001年既藏曆鐵蛇年：發生熱帶風暴阿里森林造成損失60億美元、印度大地震亡14000人等）。水羊年多有疫情傳染流布（2003年即藏曆水羊年，發生非典疫情造成全世界恐慌等）。
In the year of the iron dragon, evil spirits and demons enter into the water, floods and landslides kill many people’s lives (the year 2000 is the year of the iron dragon by Tibetan calendar: Kursk submarine disaster etc.). In the year of the iron snake, evil spirits and demons enter into wind; thunder; frost and hail, which bring disasters and sufferings to all living creatures (the year 2001 is the year of the iron snake by Tibetan calendar: $6 billion lost in Tropical Storm Chantal/Barry etc., 14000 people died in India earthquake etc.). In the year of the water sheep, epidemic diseases are out of control (the year 2003 is the year of the water sheep by Tibetan calendar: The outbreak of SARS caused panic around the world etc.).
酒食過多者因腦血管疾病死，嗜好賭行者因胃疾死，惡口興謗者因喉病死，吸菸過量者因肺病死，食蛋蒜者夢魘惱亂死，獵殺獸畜者肝腸病死，造作諸業者悉得種種苦病死。木雞年佛教式微，鬼魔眾等易於加害，土牛年世界刀兵起（藏曆土牛年世界會爆發大的災難），很多人會於戰火中喪命。
Heavy drinkers and eaters are died of cerebrovascular disease, compulsive gamblers are died of stomach diseases, people who often use abusive words and spread slanders are died of laryngeal disease, excessive smokers are died of lung diseases, eggs and garlic eaters are died of nightmare and emotional disturbance, animal hunters and killers are died of liver and bowel diseases, evil things doers are died of all kinds of sufferings. In the year of the wood rooster, Buddhism is waning, malevolent spirits and demons are easy to harm all beings. In the year of the earth ox by Tibetan calendar, major disasters or wars break out around the world, and lots of people will be killed.
蓮師的這些話，在今天看來，是這樣的觸目驚心。人類對於大自然瘋狂的掠奪，雖形成前所未有的物質繁華，但是道德淪喪，盜乞四起，疾病流行，各種社會問題接連浮現出來。如果我們再不加以警覺，收斂自己的行為，終有一天會毀於自己的「文明」之中。
These words from Guru Rinpoche today seem such a shock and alarm. Although people all over the world luxuriate in an unprecedented material prosperity, human mad depredation of nature, moral decline, thieves and beggars everywhere, disease prevalence, social problems emerge in endlessly, if we do not care these alerts and restrain our own behaviors, surely someday we will be destroyed in our own "civilization".
猴年猴月的初十，是蓮師離開藏地前往羅剎國的日子。2016年正是藏曆火猴年（再過60年我們才能再遇見這個殊勝的蓮師本命年），與蓮師有著甚深不共的因緣。當年蓮師離開時，曾對所有大臣和人民講過：「每逢這一天，我必定會來到人間，對所有的人進行加持。」
The tenth day of the monkey month of the monkey year is the date on which Guru Rinpoche leave Tibet to Russia. This year 2016 is the year of the fire monkey by Tibetan calendar (it will be 60 years before we meet again this special Guru Rinpoche year.), and have a very deep hetu-pratyaya with Guru Rinpoche. When Guru Rinpoche left, he had told all the ministers and the people: "every tenth day of this year, I will surely come to the world, adhishthana (to aid, support and empower) to all the people.
不僅是猴月，每個月的初十，也是一切時間之王。 尤其在猴年的每月初十，蓮師更會在南贍部洲示現千萬化身度化眾生，這是他的承諾。在蓮師傳記中，記載了每月初十，蓮師利益眾生、降伏鬼神的不同應化事跡。
Not only in the monkey month, the tenth day in each month also be the king of all time. Especially the tenth day in each month in the year of the monkey. Guru Rinpoche will appear in millions upon millions nirmanakaya in Jambudvipa to rescue all sentient beings, this is his promise. The biography of Guru Rinpoche records, at the tenth day in each month, Guru Rinpoche benefits all sentient beings, subdue evil spirits and other transformations of Buddha in accordance with the need of the different beings (different nirmana deeds).
