Since 1995, the Legend of Sword video game franchise has been one of the most popular in China, and its success has spawned multiple sequels and even TV shows. Legend of Sword tells the story of Li Xiaoyao, a young boy in ancient Southern China who leaves his small fishing village to go on a magical quest to find a cure for his sick aunt. On his journey he meets Miao princesses, spirits and martial art clans.

Despite the rarity of video game to theatre adaptations, audiences across China have been drawn to the Legend of Sword stageshow by its high production value. The technical team behind the show also worked on the opening ceremonies of the 2008 Beijing Olympics and 2010 Shanghai World Expo. Legend of Sword will be playing at Qingdao’s Grand Theatre from 9-10 July.
儘管劇本有所改編，但仍不失為一部良心之作。這部劇的幕後技術團隊曾指導過 2008 年北京奧運會和 2010 年上海世博會的開幕式，舞臺劇仙劍奇俠傳也將在 7 月 9 日、10 日登陸青島大劇院的舞臺。
