The First time I heard of AFU is from our Hahser Lee(Rustle in the Bush), he forward some thread post about AFU then just get to know that he is one of the Volunteer there, also know AFU need and accept donations of old clothes stuff to used to keep the dogs warm and clean, That is why the visit here to happen on Jan 16th that I bring some of my old clothes to donate for AFU.
第一次聽說AFU是來自我們廈門環島路Hash的發起者Lee(他的Hasher名字叫 Rustle in the Bush)，後來得知他也是AFU的志願者之一，也了解到AFU的狗狗們需要和接受舊衣物的捐贈，以便天冷時給他們保暖和讓狗狗的小床能變得更乾淨，1月16號我們整理了一些舊衣物，來到了AFU。
Bring some of Old Clothes Head for AFU
I bumped into 2 Russian College Students from Xiada, they are following required procedure to adopt one of dogs called Kobe, and the owner will bring Kobe back to her hometown in Russia after half year later when she finished study here.
剛到的時候剛好遇見2個廈大的俄羅斯留學生在辦理手續收養一隻叫Kobe的狗狗，他們在半年之後完成學業，會把Kobe一起帶回俄羅斯飼養。
Kobe is lucky and happy to be adopted.
AFU is opened publicly only on Sat, and most of the volunteers will be there to help clean the kennel and wash the dogs or other things need help, bump into one of Volunteers who is from DELL, she is doing welll and deserve my Respects.
AFU只有在每周六早上會開放接受捐贈，志願者(都有各自的工作)也都大部分在周六早上來幫忙清洗狗舍和幫狗狗洗澡，碰到其中一個來自DELL的志願者MM，值得大家尊敬。
Cleaning the Kennel and Washing the dogs
Some of dogs I saw when visited, all of them are under good care by the Volunteers, they are doing a amazing job and show Positive Energy every minutes.
周六早上見到的一些狗狗，他們都被志願者照顧的很好，看著大家的義務工作，每一分鐘都會感覺到有股正能量在湧現。
They are all under good taken care by Volunteers.
Below are the inside of the Kennel, you can see that is why AFU need old clothes to keep them warm and clean when live in, and Volunteers use mosquito-repellent incense & moxa stick to keep the air inside well and smell comfortable.
如下是狗舍的內部情況，舊衣物會被用來給狗狗鋪床，以便讓他們保持溫暖和乾淨，狗舍裡志願者還會點一些蚊香和艾條，保持內部空氣的潔淨和舒適。

廈門阿福之家流浪動物保護中心成立於2009年3月，中心是在廈門寵物網（www.xmdog.com)的基礎上建立起來的,廈門寵物網成立於2004年11月,由廈門一群熱心於小動物保護、救助事業的義工自發組成，是一個以幫助流浪動物重新回歸家庭為最終目的非營利性公益性團體。
Xiamen AFU Shelter first started in November of 2004.At first, all we had was a website (www.xmdog.com) so that people could use the forum to discuss problems they have while they are raising their dogs,also how to rescue street dogs and cats.In March of 2009,we started our first shelter.
We are a non-government,non-profit organization.Currently we do not have any full time workers.Our funds mainly come from public donation and fund raising events.Our funds are used for animal rescue and cruelty prevention,spade and neutering of dogs and adoption services.

Items AFU need:
Protection against the cold: old blankets, old cushions, clothes (winter or summer), old window curtains.
Food items: dog food, all sorts of snacks and canned food are most welcome.
Medicine: alcohol, hydrogen peroxide solution, iodine,cotton, erythromycin paste, Yunnan white medince (blood stopper), Vitamin B, golden/refined teichomycin paste (for eye diseases), erythromycin paste, chloramphenicol/chloromycetin eye drops.
Nutrition items: calcium pills, vitamin pills
Bathing items: dog shampoo, towels
Daily used items: dog leashes, dog collars
Standard items: scissors, bowls, steel wire sponges, aprons,gloves, masks, washing powder, dish washing liquid, combs, buckets and trash bags.
