彩虹的顏色到底是「紅橙黃綠青藍紫」還是「紅橙黃綠藍靛紫」？

牛頓將自己的稜鏡實驗得到的光譜切分成了七個顏色：red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet，對應的中文譯名為「紅橙黃綠藍靛紫」比較合適。

但是西方有研究者認為牛頓時期的顏色詞和現代的有所差別，牛頓的blue可能更接近於現代的cyan藍綠色，而indigo才是現在的blue。

Violet是藍紫色，purple更偏紅一些。
