and I was doing the first few movies I remember

the producers would say,」Well, if she can’t work it out

「it’s fine. We』ll just cast someone else,

「girls are replaceable.」 Subconsciously,

it really worked on my mind,

and I started picking up parts which were strong,

which were not just the damsel in distress

waiting for someone to rescue me.

Now 30, 15 years later the movies that I do, .

I’m irreplaceable

– If you want to be a successin whatever you’re doing

then you have to be so good at it that you’re irreplaceable.

If I can swap out yourproduct or your service

with somebody else’s really easily

then you’re never going to stand out,

you’re never going to reallybuild a successful business.

It’s going to be a race down to the bottom for price.

If I can’t tell the difference

between what you’re selling and what your competitors are selling

then I’m just going to gowith whoever is the cheapest.

And that’s where a lot ofentrepreneurs are playing.

Now price is always going to be important,

and not enough of the other.

And so a lot of entrepreneurs,we don’t have enough ego,

we don’t have enough pride, wedon’t have enough confidence

in ourselves to go out and charge

what we’re worth, tofeel like we’re worthy.

I think a lot of entrepreneurscould boost their prices 20,

25, 30% and not seea dip in their customers.

I think too many entrepreneursjust underprice themselves

because they don’t haveenough confidence in what

they’re selling and what they’re doing.

I think too, though, youbalance it with humbleness

And so if I look at my YouTube channel as

an example, I』ve had a number of conversations

with different people talking about my channel, and often

it』ll start with me saying all

the things that I want to work on.

Like I need to get better.

I need to create better content.

and every series is leadingto growth to the channel

and is having a big impacton the audience reach.

And a lot of times the natural reaction

from people will be to tryto be supportive and say, 「Well,

you’re making three videos a day.

「I’m making one a week,」 or,」I struggle to make one a week.

「You’re already doing great.You’re already having such a

「big impact, you shouldn’tbe so hard on yourself.」

And this is where the danger comes in

because if I just livedto their expectations,

You know, I’m just somebig fish in this tiny pond.

It’s easy to feel goodabout myself, right?

If I compare myself to allthese other YouTube channels

where they’re making one videoa week and that’s really hard

and that’s really good for them

then I lower my standards to where they’re at

and what they see as excellent.

Or for me, I have greaterstandards for myself.

And so I push myself to want to do more.

I believe the editing can be better.

I believe the filming can be better.

I believe I can be better.

I believe the contentwe have can be better.

Everything can always be better and

that』ll push ourselves to go out and do it.

And at the same time, I think my channel
是油管同期頻道中最棒的
is the greatest YouTube channel, period.
我覺得它是送給人文學科的一份禮物
I think my channel is a gift to humanity.
我覺得如果有一個油管頻道會
I think if a YouTubechannel was going to win
獲得諾貝爾獎 那一定是我的頻道
a Nobel prize it should be my channel.
我很愛我的頻道 我認為它
I love my channel, Iconsume my own channel more
比其他的頻道都要好
than any other channel and I
我認為它簡直是人文學科的福音
think it’s a gift to humanity,
我真的這麼想 我也相信
I do, I believe that,
我的頻道還需要不斷進步
and it needs to get a lot better. Right,

so embracing both sides.

And so I think feeling thatsame way about your business,

feeling like the work that you’re doing

can always get better, can always improve.

You can improve yourskills and your hustle,

and your drive, and howmuch practice you put in it,

You’re never done learning,

And you’re also providing a lot of value.

You have a great productor a great service.

There’s a lot of love that goes in.

There’s a noticeable difference between you and somebody else,

the rest of your competition.
去找到你們的不同之處
Feeling that becauseif you don’t feel that,
你如果不這麼做 你的顧客也無法感受其中的差別
you’re customers won’t feel that either.
如果有人接到你的電話
If somebody gets on the call
或者見到你
with you or meets with you
你不能自信地解釋你的不同
and you can’t, with pride,explain why you’re different
和為什麼你能更好地幫他們看到結果
and why you’re better, andfor them to see that result.
如果他們發現不了你的優勢
If they can’t see it
他們自然不會把更多的錢花在你身上
they’re not going to pay you more,
他們不會選擇你而選擇其他人
they’re not going to pickyou over somebody else.
而這就意味著 最終
And that means, ultimately,
你並不能把你的事業發展成它能達到的規模
you can’t grow your business as big as it should be.
這就是平衡的重要
It’s the balance, humbleness plus
謙卑與自負或信心是不可替代的
ego/confidence become irreplaceable.
