關於cat——貓的俗語非常多，我們以前也分享過好幾個，比如fat cat表示有錢有勢的人，curiosity killed the cat表示好奇害死貓，cat got your tongue表示突然間說不出話來，卡殼了。

1）Cats and dogs
「Cats and dogs」可不一定是「貓和狗」啊！那還能是啥意思？
看到cats and dogs，相信大家馬上會想到一句很古老的俗語叫做It rains cats and dogs，表示老天下傾盆大雨了，比依萍找她爸借錢那天下得還要大。
那除了這個意思以外，cats and dogs還可以表示slow-selling or undesirable merchandise，也就是指那些銷售比較緩慢，不怎麼受歡迎、賣不掉的商品。
英語例句：
① During the off-season，the shop owners try to get rid of all their cats and dogs.
在銷售淡季，這些店主都試圖把他們所有賣不掉的商品給清理掉。
② Adam is so worried about his cats and dogs in the shop.

2）Dog my cats！
剛剛講完cats and dogs，接下來看一個很相似的dog my cats，啥意思呢？
其實這句話非常有意思，主要用來表達自己非常驚訝或簡直不敢相信的情緒，有點類似於我們說「我勒個去」或者「喵了個咪」啊！
英語例句：
① Well，dog my cats！I never thought that I could win the game.
真是喵了個咪啊！我從沒有想過我能贏下這次比賽。
② Dog my cats！What are we supposed to do here？
喵了個咪的！我們應該在這裡幹啥啊？
3）The cat's pajamas
The cat's pajamas從字面上看是「貓的睡衣」，事實上，it means something or someone highly enjoyable, desirable, or impressive. 也就是意味著某些事物或人非常地令人愉快的、令人嚮往的或令人印象深刻的。想像一下，一隻高貴的喵星人，穿著非常華麗的睡衣，享受著萬人的擁戴，任誰都想一睹它的風採。
因此，the cat's pajamas是指傑出的或精彩的人或事物，也可以寫作cat's meow或humdinger。
英語例句：
① Adam’s new sportscar is really the cat's pajamas！
亞當的新跑車真是太牛叉了！
② Hey guys，the football game last night was really the cat's pajamas, wasn't it？
