Vans作為滑板鞋領域的領導者將在2015年5月5日全球同步發布第一支具有歷史意義的滑板影片——PROPELLER。這部影片由滑板界久負盛名的導演Greg Hunt執導，片中聚集了滑板文化的先驅傳奇們和推動現在滑板文化的職業滑手，講述了只有Vans能夠展現的當今滑板文化的縮影。

STEVE CABALLERO
作為滑板界的傳奇人物，Steve Caballero在他30多年的滑板生涯中取得了諸多成就，他也是為數不多的能被人們僅憑他的暱稱Cab就記住的滑手之一。
SKATEBOARDING LEGEND, STEVE CABALLERO, HAS ACCOMPLISHED SO MUCH DURING HIS 30-PLUS YEARS OF SKATING, HE』S ONE OF THOSE RARE GUYS KNOWN SIMPLY BY HIS NICKNAME, CAB.
80年代Stacey Peralta創建了一支超級滑板隊Bones Brigade來重新定義滑板文化， Cab作為這個團隊的元老級成員， 參與拍攝了滑板界最著名的視頻」The Search for Animal Chin」. Cab也是最早發明Caballerial和frontside boardslide這兩個滑板動作的人，在2009年Cab和Vans共同慶祝了他的首雙籤名版滑板鞋Vans Caballero的20周年紀念。 Vans Half Cab，這個Vans到目前為止最受喜愛也是「最棒」的滑板鞋款，也在2012年度過了令人難忘的20周年誕辰。
As an original member of the Bones Brigade — the 『80s skate super team that Stacey Peralta envisioned to redefine skateboarding — Cab appeared in perhaps the most famous skate video of all time, 「The Search for Animal Chin.」 Cab has invented tricks including the Caballerial and the frontside boardslide and, in 2009, Cab and Vans celebrated the twentieth anniversary of his first-ever signature skate shoe, the Vans Caballero. Meanwhile, 2012 marked the twentieth anniversary of the longest-running and 「greatest」 skate shoe of all time, the Vans Half Cab.
CHRISTIAN HOSOI
當你打開滑板界的詞典想要查找「style」的意思的時候，不會有任何的文字釋義，除了一張在加利福尼亞威尼斯海灘的滑板照片，這就是Christian Hosoi。

你可以看到他騰空躍起，雙手緊緊抓板如火箭般滑向高空，猶如一道豔麗彩虹般的閃耀光芒，而與此同時他的目光已經注視在下一個難度上。 不用管任何的時代或是地形上的偏好，你本能的就會了解「style」這個詞的意思。
在1981年Christian成為了職業滑手，他立刻改變了我們對於滑板極限的想法，也重新定義了什麼才是最完美的滑板動作。他創造了屬於他個人的滑板風格，一直被模仿從未被超越。從早期他如流星般冉冉升起到最終在滑板界大放異彩， Hosoi作為滑板界的代表人物已經有超過30年的歷史。

You』ll see him high above the coping, halfway to the moon with his two hands firmly-gripped on a rocket air, decked out in an 『80s Technicolor rainbow of flare with his eyes already fixated on the next wall. Regardless of age or terrain preference, you will instinctively know what the word means. Christian turned pro in 1981 and immediately changed what we thought was possible on a skateboard — he redefined how even the most basic tricks are supposed to look. He exudes a natural style that has been mimicked many times, but never replicated. Hosoi has been an ambassador for skateboarding for over three decades, beginning with his early and meteoric rise to the pinnacles of success and stardom, to his triumph over the eventual crash and burn that followed. Christian’s comeback story makes him revered the world over. And if all that wasn’t enough, he was recently distinguished by Transworld SKATEboarding magazine as the fourth 「most influential skateboarder of all time」 in their definitive list of skateboarding’s greatest legends.
TONY ALVA
Tony Alva 1957年在Santa Monica出生，是最初狗鎮男孩Z-Boys的原型之一，被認為是最有影響力的職業滑手之一。
BORN IN 1957 IN SANTA MONICA, CALIFORNIA, TONY IS ONE OF THE ORIGINAL Z-BOYS AND CONSIDERED BY MANY TO BE ONE OF THE MOST INFLUENTIAL SKATEBOARDERS OF ALL TIME.
Alva在上世紀七十年代所進行的滑板動作與傳統意義上的滑板動作完全不一樣，使他立刻從其他滑手之中脫穎而出。著名滑板紀錄片狗鎮男孩中，充滿魅力的經典角色正是以Tony19歲時建立的具有傳奇意味的Venice 滑板團隊為創作藍本拍攝的。Alva避開當時初具規模的競爭對手，組建了自己的滑板公司——Alva Skates。Alva的公司是當時史無前例的第一家由滑手自己組建運營的滑板公司，也是第一家用楓木膠合板製作成滑板的公司。

The level of aggression that Alva introduced in the 『70s stood in stark contrast to the traditional, freestyle-based feel of the era, making him instantly stand out among other skaters. The prototype modern professional skateboarder and a charismatic character in the documentary 「Dogtown: The Legend of the Z-boys,」 was based on Tony’s legendary Venice skate crew and at age 19, Alva shunned the major skate companies to form his own skateboard company, Alva Skates. Alva’s company was the first ever to be owned and operated by a skateboarder, as well as one of the first to use layered maple plywood for the skate decks. It was Tony, back in 』77, who suggested that Vans founder, Paul Van Doren, modify the classic Vans Authentic deck shoe — a favorite among the emerging skate pioneers for its grippy, gum rubber waffle outsole — by adding collar padding and a heel cup for support. The result was the now-classic Vans Era style, the first shoe designed by skaters for skateboarding. Nearly 35 years later, Alva continues to shred, surf and skate pools almost every day. When people look up 「skateboarder」 in the dictionary, it’s Tony Alva’s face they should see.
JOHN CARDIEL

John Cardiel is that man and has been that man long before he went Pro in the early 『90s. In 1995, he helped start Anti-Hero Skateboards and defined the balls-out, skate-everything image of the brand. He is the blueprint for the all-terrain skaters we’re starting to seeing now, some 20 years later. His skating, his energy, his positivity is beyond infectious — it lights up rooms. In 2008, John was featured on Internet Skate Show, Epicly Later』d. Most subjects get three or four episodes. John got 16, one for each year he』d been on Vans to that point. All these years later, people still can’t get enough of John.
JEFF GROSSO
Jeff Grosso可以說是「DUDE」的代名詞。在人們還沒有開始用「DUDE」這個詞的時候，他已經被稱作為DUDE了。
JEFF GROSSO IS THE DUDE. HE WAS THE DUDE BEFORE PEOPLE EVEN KEPT TRACK OF WHO THE DUDE WAS.
Jeff在2011年加入了Anti-Hero品牌，這也是毋庸置疑的，可以說在滑板界沒有人比他更能代表反英雄式的人物。在80年代初期他就敢在大會面前豎中指，他乾淨利落的滑板風格及說話方式使他成為那個年代最受歡迎的滑手。由於早期和Bones Brigade只維持了短暫的合作關係，Grosso在滑板界一直不被看好，但他樂於自嘲的幽默感卻又讓人們更加喜愛他。

It only makes sense that he was added to the Anti-Hero roster in 2011 because skateboarding has never had more of an anti-hero than Jeff. He’s flipped the bird in the face of convention since the early 『80s and his no-bullshit skating and style of speak have made him every skater’s favorite skater for generations. Since his early start and brief stint with the Bones Brigade, Grosso has been an underdog and his self-deprecating sense of humor makes you love him all the more. Jeff is one of the last straight-shooting, tell-it-like-it-is guys in an age where people speak in sound bites and press releases. His Offthewall.tv web series, Love Letters To Skateboarding is a smash hit for skaters of all ages. They say, 「Sometimes there’s a man. Well, he’s the man for his time and place; he fits right in and that’s the Dude.」 That’s Jeffrey Blain Grosso.
RAY BARBEE
當Powell Peralta在1988年發布經典的滑板影片「Public Domain」時，有一位滑手從The Bones Brigade團隊之中脫穎而出，無論是滑板風格，地形掌控能力，滑板動作還是全方位的滑板技巧都顯得與眾不同。這正是Ray Barbee躍上熒幕的裡程碑。
WHEN POWELL PERALTA RELEASED THE NOW-CLASSIC 1988 SKATE VIDEO 「PUBLIC DOMAIN,」 ONE SKATER STOOD APART FROM THE REST OF THE BONES BRIGADE TEAM IN TERMS OF STYLE, TERRAIN, TRICKS AND ALL-AROUND SKATE MOJO. THIS MARKED THE ENTRANCE OF RAY BARBEE ONTO THE SCENE.
當其他人還在穿螢光色緊身衣滑板時，Ray已經開始穿著牛仔褲，T恤和法蘭絨衣物，在街道上滑板，他動作流暢簡潔，形成了特有的即興滑板風格。之後Ray開始穿著Vans，Powell Peralta發布的「Ban This」中，第一次展現了Ray的個人技巧。這部影片通過展現一系列別出心裁的滑板技巧和流暢的板上表現，令滑板文化走向一個新的裡程碑。
25年過去了，Ray在「Ban This」中的滑板表現依然是滑板歷史中具有非凡意義的裡程碑，展現了最獨特最不可複製的個人風格。時至今日，Ray除了是一名擁有傑出成就的音樂家以外，依然是Vans， Element Skateboards和其他世界級贊助商籤約的職業滑手，他積極樂觀的性格，謙遜的態度始終影響著一代又一代的滑板愛好者。
While the others dressed in neon Spandex and mostly rode vert, Ray dressed in modest jeans, T-shirts and flannels, skated street and had a smooth, effortless and uniquely-improvisational style. The following year Ray got on Vans and Powell Peralta released 「Ban This,」 featuring Ray’s first solo part. It was a show that turned skateboarding on its ass with an inventive trick repertoire and buttery-smooth style. 25 years later, Ray’s skating in 「Ban This」 still stands as a singular monument非凡的紀念 to one of the most creative and inimitable styles in all of skateboarding. These days, in addition to being an accomplished musician — with multiple record releases as a solo artist and with others (notably, The Mattson 2 and fellow Bones Brigader, Tommy Guerrero) — Ray is still skating Pro for Vans, Element skateboards and other world-class sponsors, while infecting everyone he comes across with his ever-positive and upbeat, humble attitude.
