「第四屆美術文獻展/應力場「分別以:塑力(塑造事物的促進力、影響力)、合力(作用於同一事物上的多種力之和)、變力(形變與所受力之間的一種轉化關係)、隱力(凝聚於事物內部的相互作用力)四個單元呈現。
本屆展覽邀請了中國及來自其他十四個國家的57位藝術家(小組)的127件(組)作品參展。我們將在湖北美術館官方微信平臺,連續推介每一位參展藝術家及其作品,為觀眾提供多維度的展覽敘事,敬請關注!
WAZA 小組,2002 年組建於中國武漢,作品涉及領域從大型裝置(含圖片、影像、聲音、新媒體等元素)到為不同地點、空間專門設計的項目。

WAZA artistic collective was established in Wuhan, China in 2002. Its works involve large installations (including elements such as pictures, images, audio and new media) to projects specially designed for different locations and site specific spaces.

百科百度上,「社會青年」的定義是社會的不良青年和閒散人員。社會青年原為和學生相對的概念,用來指校園外青年。」最早「社會青年」一詞來源於上世紀70 年代上山下鄉後回到城裡沒有工作,游離在社會之外的知青群體,它成為中國80 年代這個富有特色的群體的專有指稱。後來「社會青年」大多是在社會主流體系之外的待業青年、閒散人員、流動人口、各種不定性人群。「社會青年」是WAZA 小組長期關注的一個社會概念。武漢長久以來都是充斥流動人口的城市。從2008 年的《流浪藝人》開始,WAZA 就表達了對這座城市邊緣化群體的關注。WAZA 花了一年時間認識、了解流浪藝人這一群體後,收集這些藝人的音樂製作了作品。2010 年,WAZA 小組做了《社會青年》項目,
項目坐落於城市的「城中村」裡一個破舊的、幾乎被廢棄的公寓樓裡,這裡聚居了大量作為租戶的流動人口。WAZA 小組與這些居民合作,讓房東提供改造空間的建議和指導,租客提供工具和材料來完成作品。這個項目包括了聲音裝置,很多材料也是現場收集。本次文獻展,小組擬在美術館的場地重新闡釋《社會青年》這個項目,作品呈現為聲音裝置,由WAZA 小組2008 年至今於各地拆遷現場收集的物品以及採集並後期加工的聲音作為材料,呈現一個類似帶著情緒、感性的、有著隱秘外史的出租房的空間。
In Baidu Wikipedia, 「rustic youth」 is defined as young villains and idle people in society. The social youth, originally referred to the young people outside the campus, compared with the students. The earliest 「rustic youth」 originates from the educated youth group who returned to the city, unemployed after they had gone and worked in the countryside and mountainous areas in the 1970s. This phrase became an exclusive reference to this characteristic group of China in the 1980s. Later, 「rustic youth」 mostly refer to young people waiting for job assignments, idlers, shifting population, and all kinds of wayward groups. 「Rustic youth」 has been a social concept that WAZA team is concerned with for a long time. Wuhan has been a city full of shifting people for a long time. Since the Floating Chinese Musicians in 2008, WAZA has expressed its concern over the marginalized groups of this city. WAZA spent one year knowing and understanding this group before making production through collecting the works of these musicians. In 2010, the WAZA team produced the project of Social Youth, which is located in a shabby and almost abandoned apartment building in the 「urban village」 where a lot of shifting people as tenants gather. WAZA team cooperated with these residents, letting the landlord provide suggestions and guidance for space modification, and tenants provide the tools and materials to finish the work. This project includes sound installations, and many materials are collected on site. In this literature exhibition, the team plans to re-interpret the project at the site of the art museum. The work is shown as sound installation. The substances collected from different demolition sites and sounds collected and processed by WAZA team since 2008, show a space of rental housing that is emotional, sensitive, and with informal hidden history.
