This is the story of Little Pea, Mama Pea, and Papa Pea. 

這是一個關於豆寶寶，豆媽媽與豆爸爸的故事。

Little Pea was a happy little guy. 

小豆子是一顆快樂的小豆子。 

He liked to do a lot of things. 

他喜歡做各種各樣有意思的事兒。 

He liked rolling down hills, for example, super fast. 

他喜歡像這樣飛快的從小山坡上滾下來。

He liked hanging out with his pea pals. 

他喜歡和朋友們跳方格。

He liked it when Papa Pea came home at the end of the day. 

在每天傍晚豆爸爸回家後，他還喜歡和爸爸玩遊戲。 

Papa Pea would fling Little Pea off a spoon high into the air, 

豆爸爸把小豆子放進湯匙裡，然後把小豆子高高地拋入空中， 

and Little Pea would scream, 「Again! Again!」 

每當這個時候，小豆子就會尖叫道：「再來一次，我還要，爸爸！」

At bedtime Little Pea very much liked snuggling with Mama Pea, 

每天睡覺的時候，小豆子喜歡依偎在媽媽懷裡， 

and hearing stories about what Mama Pea was like when she was a little pea. 

聽媽媽講她兒時的故事。

But there was one thing that Little Pea did not like… 

但是，有一件事情小豆子特別不喜歡……

Candy. 糖果！ 

That’s what you have to eat for dinner every night when you’re a pea. Candy. Candy. Candy.Candy. 

當你是一顆小豆子的時候，有一件你不得不做的事，那就是每天晚飯吃糖果。糖果，糖果，還是糖果！

Monday:  Red Candy.  

 周一：紅色糖果； 

Tuesday: Orange Candy.  

周二：橘色糖果； 

Wednesday: Yellow candy. 

周三：黃色糖果； 

Thursday: Purple and pink polka-dotted candy. 

周四：紫色和粉色圓點的糖果。

Friday: Striped candy. 

周五：條狀糖果； 

Saturday: Swirly candy. 

周六：漩渦形糖果； 

Sunday: Rainbow candy. 

周日：彩虹糖。 

Little Pea hated all of it. 

因為他實在太討厭這一切。

「If you want to grow up to be a big, strong pea, 

可是爸爸會說：「如果你想要長出一顆又大又結實的豆子， 

you have to eat your candy,」 Papa Pea would say. 

你就要吃掉你的糖。」

「If you don’t finish your candy then you can’t have dessert,」 

「如果你不吃完你的糖，你就不能吃甜點了哦！」 

Mama Pea would say. 

媽媽威脅道。

「How many pieces do I have to eat?」

「那麼我要吃幾塊兒糖呢？」小豆子問道。 

「Eat five pieces and you can have dessert.」 

「吃完五塊兒糖，然後你就能吃甜點了。」媽媽回答說。 

「Five pieces?」 he whined. 「五塊兒嗎？」

小豆子嗚嗚地嘟囔著。 

「Five pieces,」 they chimed. 

「是的，五塊兒。」爸爸媽媽異口同聲說道。 

「Five pieces?」 he whined. 

「真的是五塊兒嗎？」小豆子又問了一遍。 

「Five pieces,」 they chimed. 

「是的，沒錯。」爸爸媽媽重複了一遍。 

「One. Yuck.」 

「一塊兒，好噁心啊！」 

「Two. Blech.」 

「兩塊兒，呸呸呸！」 

「Three. Plck.」  

「三塊兒，真難吃！」 

「Four. Pleh.」

「第四塊兒，真是快哭了！」 

「Five pieces of candy! 

「五塊兒都吃完了！  

Now can I have dessert?」 

現在我能吃我的甜點了嗎？」小豆子問道。 

「Yes.Now you can have dessert,」 

「是的，你可以去吃了。」 

said Mama Pea and Papa Pea. 

爸爸和媽媽回答道。 

Little Pea couldn’t wait to see what it was. 

小豆子已經迫不及待地想要看看今天的甜點是什麼了。 

「Spinach!」 squealed Little Pea.「My favorite!」 

「菠菜！」小豆子悄悄地說「這可是我的最愛哦！」 

Little Pea licked his dessert plate clean. 

小豆子把他的甜點盤子舔得乾乾淨淨的。 

yum 

好吃！yum 真好吃！

extra yum. 

真是美味極了！ 

And they lived hap-pea-ly ever after. 

之後，小豆子一家又過上了幸福快樂的生活。
