提到Blackmore's Night（布萊克摩之夜），就意味著得再次翻看Deep Purple（深紫）與Rainbow（彩虹）的歷史。1968年Blackmore和朋友一起組建了深紫，在此期間奠定了其無人替代的新古典（前衛）吉它大師地位，1975年離隊組建彩虹，1993年更名為Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow，1997年和他的妻子Candice Night組成的一個夫妻音樂組合。
Blackmore夫妻檔在New Age與World Music的音樂領域已頗富盛名，成為少數能夠成功跨足Rock/New Age/World Music的藝人。
吉他手Ritchie Blackmore和他的妻子Candice Night組成的夫妻樂隊Blackmore's Night喚醒了多少人的耳朵。神仙眷侶雖然年歲相差達26歲，但這並不影響他們對音樂的理解一致。Ritchie Blackmore從hard rock中抽身而和妻子共同步入美妙的world music,Renaissance, new age, folk領域，源自於Ritchie Blackmore的文藝復興（Renaissance）情結。
Ritchie並沒有完全放棄自己心愛的Fender Stratocaster，但這並不影響他在Blackmore's Night裡用原聲木吉他演奏出醉人的旋律，高超的技藝無處不在。Night清爽ethereal式的嗓音輔於各種中世紀樂器----曼陀鈴，鍵盤，錫哨，提琴，鈴鼓，軍鼓，手搖風琴等讓人體驗到從來沒有過的美妙感受。
