You/I just have one of those faces
You have one of those faces時,你真的以為一句中文「你有一張大眾臉」就是它的全部,還是:用英語學英語,我們會從英語You have one of those faces得到「更多的英語」,它的英語解釋本身就是很好的英語口語呢?
1) I just have one of those faces
I Guess I Just Have One Of Those Faces(括弧內是我加的注釋):
People approach me(big word:=came up to me ,came close to me) several times a day to tell me that I look like someone else. It’s usually some actor from a show, or their cousin, or a sandwich they remember fondly. I guess I just have one of those faces.
Occasionally I really wanted to ask them whether they meant the comparison(they compare me with someone else) as a compliment(big word:=a praise)...
Most recently I went uninvited(without an invitation) to a wedding where I was mistaken (they thought I was someone else and they were wrong)by all in attendance for the groom(=the new wife)...
Whst does it mean if you say I just have one of those faces的。
2) I just have one of those faces
When we read: that I look like someone else the comparison as a compliment,I was mistaken for the groom,Okay.I got you.
1.Okay.I got you. When we say:You just have one of those faces,we mean:You look like someone else.
2.Okay.I got you. When we say:You just have one of those faces,we mean:You compare domeone with someone else=his or her lookalike.
3.Okay.I got you. When we say:You just have one of those faces,we mean:You mistake someone for his or her lookalike.
3) I just have one of those faces的Big word反向運用:
Okay.I got you.Next time.If I mistake doneone for someone else, his or her lookalike,or I think hr or she looke likes someone else,I won't say You look like my friend,I mistake you for my friend,I'lll say :You just have one of those faces.
I just have one of those faces的其它意思暫且不學。
