run out，用完、耗盡，作不及物動詞。
(過去式ran out、過去分詞run out、現在分詞running out、第三人稱單數runs out)
1、something run out，某物被用完了。
這裡注意，雖然是物作主語，但是不需要把run out變成被動語態，這是一個固定用法。
例句1：Time ran out.時間用完了（時間到了）。
例句2：My money have run out.我的錢花光了（用完了）。
2、somebody run out of something，某人用完了某物。
在這個結構裡，主語必須由人物來充當。
例句1：He's run out of inspirations.他已經耗光了靈感（他已經江郎才盡了）。
例句2：The girl is so tough to be touched. I've run out of my ideas.這個女孩子實在是太難被打動了，我已經沒辦法了（我已經無計可施了）。
3、run out的進行時態表示：即將用完、耗盡。
例句1：Time is running out.時間快到了、時間快用完了。
例句2：We're running out of time.我們快沒時間了、我們的時間快到了。
