in time和on time的英語口語練習

英語短語in time有很多意思，是「一詞多義」現象。這裡僅就它和on time詞義相近時的比較。

1) in time

1. Make sure that you get here in time for the concert.

2. I need to get home in time to take a shower before the party.

3. Oh good—we're in time to see the opening band.

我們學習二者的「區別」時不應該「只會說」中文，更應該「會說」英語，畢竟「說英語」才是我們的「本分」。而且，英語真的會說後，中文「自然來」。

口語：

1. Okay.I got you. When we say We must or should do something in time,we mean we should do it early enough.Or We should not be late in doing something.

2. Okay.I got you. When we say We must or should do something in time,we mean we should do it before the deadline ends.

A deadline us the last second,or moment before something must be done.

3. So,Make sure that you get here in time for the concert/meeting means Make sure that you get here early enough for the concert/meeting.If it begins at three o'clock(deadline),you must get there five minutes early,two minutes esrly,etc.=and so on.

藉助in time，練練這些英語口語確實讓人更有收穫。

2) on time

1. I always have to wait for you — you’re never on time.

2. The train came in bang on time for once.

口語：

1. Okay.I got you.When we say We must or should do something on time,we mean we should do it punctually(pung-tually，不用英語學英語，我們基本沒機會把這兩個同義詞聯繫起來的).

2.To do something punctually means Do something at the correct time, or do it neither early nor late

3.Do something on time means Do something at exactly the moment you must do it.If you must arrive on time at 3:30,then you must arrive at 3:30,not earlier than 3:30,not later than 3:30.

訓練說這樣的英語應該不比說中文難度更大呢。
