灣流推出兩款全新公務機| 灣流G800,G400

2021年10月4日/灣流宇航公司推出了兩款全新的飛機，進一步擴大了其超現代化、高科技的飛機家族:

灣流G400，十多年來首次進入大客艙級的公務機。

Oct. 4, 2021 / Gulfstream Aerospace Corp.,introduced two all-new aircraft, further expanding its ultramodern, high-technology family of aircraft: the Gulfstream G800, the longest-range aircraft in Gulfstream history, and the Gulfstream G400, the first new entrant to the large-cabin class in more than a decade.

Three G800s are slated to take part in flight testing, with the first—dubbed T1—already having been rolled out. That aircraft began taxiing under its own power last month in Savannah. Plans call for first flight by year-end. Meanwhile, the G400 is slated to begin flight testing in early 2023.

With the flagship G700 set to enter service in about a year, the two new aircraft are the culmination of Gulfstream’s focus on continuous R&D spending and answers the question of what’s next for the business jet manufacturer. The G400 and G800—slated for service entry in early 2025 and 2023, respectively—also mark the development of the fifth and sixth new aircraft over the past eight years at Gulfstream, according to company president Mark Burns.

Gulfstream's Longest-Range Aircraft

The G800 offers customers the longest range in the Gulfstream fleet with its 8,000-nautical-mile/14,816-kilometer range at Mach 0.85 and 7,000-nm/12,964-km range at Mach 0.90. Powered by high-thrust Rolls-Royce Pearl 700 engines and the Gulfstream-designed wing and winglet introduced on the Gulfstream G700, the G800 also features enhanced fuel-efficiency and more city-pair capabilities.

The G800 is designed to seat up to 19 passengers and offers up to four living areas or three living areas with crew compartment. It also features the signature Gulfstream Cabin Experience with 100% fresh, never recirculated air, whisper-quiet noise levels, industry-leading low cabin altitude and 16 Gulfstream panoramic oval windows.

A New Large-Cabin Leader 

The all-new G400 offers a combination of long-range, high-speed performance; cabin comfort; and environmental efficiency unrivaled in its class.

The G400 ramps up environmental performance by reducing fuel consumption, emissions and noise through its use of Gulfstream's aerodynamic clean-wing design and advanced Pratt & Whitney PW812GA engines. The aircraft will fly 4,200 nm/7,778 km at its long-range cruise speed of Mach 0.85. Three floorplans are offered, with options for seating up to nine, 11 or 12 passengers, and the G400 provides the signature Gulfstream Cabin Experience and 10 Gulfstream panoramic oval windows.

When the G800 eventually replaces the G650ER, all of Gulfstream’s large-cabin jets will have common flight decks—notably Honeywell Epic-based Symmetry avionics and BAE Systems active control sidesticks—that will make it easier for pilots to transition between these fly-by-wire aircraft. Further easing training requirements, the G400 through G600 will have a common pilot type rating; the G700 and G800 will also have a common pilot rating.

The G700 and G800 will share a wing, tail, and fuselage cross-section, in addition to the Rolls-Royce Pearl 700 turbofans, which are on track to receive FAA certification early next year.

Next-Generation Technology

Both the G800 and G400 are equipped with the Gulfstream Symmetry Flight Deck featuring electronically linked active control sidesticks — an industry first — and the industry's most extensive use of touch-screen technology with 10 touch-screen displays.

The company's award-winning Predictive Landing Performance System (PLPS), providing pilots advanced warning of potential runway excursions so they can adjust approaches or go around.

Dual head-up displays in the G800 feature Gulfstream's new Combined Vision System (CVS) that unites the Enhanced Flight Vision System (EFVS) and Synthetic Vision System (SVS) into a single image, increasing pilot situational awareness and access to more airports worldwide.

G800 customer deliveries are anticipated to begin in 2023 and G400 deliveries are anticipated to begin in 2025.
