Step One: Understanding the Definition of Zero

The term Zero is used to describe many pieces of the flow measurement process

Step Two: Verify the Zero

In most cases the factory zero is more accurate than the field zero

Do not zero the flow meter unless one of the following is true:

The zero is required by site procedures

The stored factory zero value fails the zero verification procedure

Do not verify the zero or zero the flow meter if a high severity alarm is active

Correct the cause of the alert then verify the zero or zero the flow meter

You may verify the zero or zero the flow meter if a low severity alarm is active
流量計的準備
Prepare the flow meter
流量計電子部件上電後
Allow the flow meter electronics to warm up for
預熱至少20分鐘
at least 20 minutes after applying power
將工藝流體流過傳感器
Run the process fluid through the sensor
直到傳感器溫度達到正常工藝操作溫度
until the sensor temperature reaches the normal process operating temperature
關閉下遊隔離閥以停止流動
Stop flow through the sensor by shutting a downstream isolation valve

and then an upstream isolation valve if available

Verify that the sensor is blocked in that flow has stopped

and that the sensor is completely full of process fluid

Start the Zero Verification procedure and wait until it completes

If the Zero Verification procedure fails

confirm that the sensor is completely blocked in that flow has stopped

Verify that the process fluid is not flashing or condensing

Repeat the Zero Verification procedure

If it fails again, zero the flow meter

Step Three: Zero the Coriolis Meter
進行零點標定的初始調零條件
The initial zero conditions for a Zero Calibration
與零點驗證時所做的一樣
are the same in which the Zero Verification was performed
如果條件有變化
If your conditions have changed
重新建立初始條件:
Re-establish the initial conditions:
流量計上下遊都用閥隔斷
The meter is blocked in using upstream and downstream valves
確認沒有流量
Confirm flow has stopped
檢查驅動增益、溫度和密度值讀數穩定
Check that drive gain, temperature and density readings are stable
開始調零步驟,等待完成
Start the Zero procedure and wait until it completes
當標定完成,如果調零步驟成功
When the calibration is complete, if the Zero procedure was successful
會顯示標定成功的信息和一個新的零點值
a calibration success message and a new zero value are displayed
如果零點標定失敗,會顯示標定失敗信息
If the zero procedure failed, a calibration failed message is displayed
一旦零點標定步驟成功完成
Once the zero calibration procedure has successfully completed

restore normal flow through the sensor by opening the valves

If the zero fails, ensure that there is no flow through the sensor then retry

Using ProLink to Verify Zero and Zero the Coriolis Meter

In ProLink, select Device Tools, Calibration, Smart Zero Verification and Calibration

In this menu select the Verify Zero button

After the Zero Verification is complete

read the result of the Verification and the next course of Recommended Action

The Recommended Actions are a new zero is recommended

or the existing zero does not need to be changed

with a recommendation of No new zero needed

If a new zero is recommended, select the Calibrate Zero button

This will open the Zero Calibration menu
