On Wednesday March 8th 2017, International Women's Day, Shanghai Women Leadership Network (SWLN) has brought together a panel of prominent leaders to host an event celebrating the United Nation's IWD's theme - Be Bold for Change.
Panelists will discuss their journeys, share their Bold Moments and their source of motivations, the barriers they have overcome and the successes they have achieved. As well as speaking about their own unique experiences, each panelist will participate in an open-floor debate, answering the audience's questions. There will also be the opportunity for direct conversation and peer-to-peer discussion in the networking area after the panel discussion. There's no better chance to make new contacts, and discover the views of some of the leading industry minds.

Tina Xu has been appointed Vice President of Information Technology (IT) in Dec 2014 and now she is also responsible for company commercial innovation-3D Innovation. In this role, She leads the IT team in supporting AZ’s business growth through the delivery of information technology, information systems and best information management practices, and shapes and manages our IT strategy and projects in line with the company’s overall business strategy and priorities. Besides, as head of IT, Tina is responsible for managing all IT-related activities in China and demonstrating commitment to the AstraZeneca global IT standards and framework. Meanwhile, she is leading Commercial 3D Innovation(「Digital, Diagnosis, Device」 )and digital in AZ China, aims at establishing the eco-system, looking for solutions of integration of diagnosis and treatment.
Before joining AstraZeneca, Tina was IT Head, Business Relationship Director at Microsoft Greater China Region, where she supported business strategy plans for aggressive business growth and delivered high business partner satisfaction.
Prior to Microsoft, Tina served as Executive Vice President and CIO for Redbaby Group. As senior management team member, she leaded the team to achieve success in strategic architecture and process optimization.
Previously, Tina had worked for P&G for 13 years in China and headquarter in US. As GCR IDS director, she was responsible for strategic developing plan and deployed excellent solution delivery.
Tina received her EMBA degree from CEIBS and her B.S. degree in Computer Science from Tianjin University.
Johanna has an MBA in strategic marketing and international communications with over 10 years of experience managing media and brand experience projects for global clients.
She has spent the last 7 years in China building her full--‐service PR and event management agency, Dragon Group Asia. She enjoys working with a range of clients from corporate multinationals like NFL, Under Armour, Pac--‐12, UFC, Porsche and HSBC to supporting grassroots non--‐profits and start--‐ups.
As the former editor of City Weekend Shanghai and Forbes Travel Guide for China, Ms. Hoopes maintains strong contacts in media, producing video, photo and written content and organizing media tours for Stephen Curry, Joe Montana, Arnold Shwarzenegger, Kobe Bryant and Peyton Manning to name a few. Ms. Hoopes has an unparalleled knack for developing strategic partnerships and a social media following that engages thousands of followers across English and Chinese platforms. Ms. Hoopes often acts as a connector and spokesperson for North American brands entering the Chinese market.
Cathy founded CBi China Bridge in 2003, the first insight--‐based innovation consulting firm in China. Most recently, she co--‐founded Successful Design, a social enterprise aiming to amplify the value of design.
Having broad influence both socially and in the global design industry, Cathy is frequently invited to conferences in North America, Europe, and Asia--‐Pacific. She enjoys adventures --‐ from crossing the Gobi desert in Dunhuang to bungee jumping in New Zealand. Her continued dedication to challenging the limits fuels her creativity for both business and design.
Cathy has won many professional design awards, while also accruing honors for her leadership as an entrepreneur and a woman in business, such as the Innovation Category of the 2014 Women Leadership Awards presented by EPWS (Expatriate Professional Women’s Society), "China’s Women to Watch」 award by Advertising Age in 2012, and "Female Hero Honor of Shanghai". She promotes the image of Chinese design and aims to leverage her role as a female mentor to inspire a new generation of start--‐ups in China.
Stéfanie Vallée is an Executive Coach, Sr. Consultant and Facilitator living in China since 2008. She has been selected as one of the Top 100 Global Coaches by the jurors of the 5th World Coaching Congress.
She is a public figure on the Canadian scene in Shanghai, based on her unique combined profile of former athlete and artist, which differentiates her from her fellow corporate coaches. Her past performances both in sport as a National Team athlete in white water kayaking (she achieved 10 National Championship titles, 3 World Class top 5 against all odds in between 2003--‐2012), and International Artist (she sold an artwork to Ma Huateng in 2013 for RMB1,9 M) all demonstrates her high capability to merge diverse talents and inspire others developing their full potential.
Based on her achievements, she believes everyone has unique skills set to develop and share amongst global organizations. This makes her passionate about accompanying Top Leaders and F100 companies growing to their full leadership potential.
She will also be facilitating the event.
Emmy Teo is the co-founder and CEO of FASHORY, a top ranking fashion app that allows users to discover the perfect outfit from global designers with just a few taps.
She has previously worked in various multinational corporations including NHN (Naver & LINE), Red 5 Studios and CNBC Asia; successfully launching over 5 apps achieving top rankings in the multiple Apple appstores and Google play stores.
Before, she also co-founded and exited two digital media agency, Infinity Media and iDreamin Interactive Media Group; managing campaigns for OCBC, Canon, Sony Music and Ocean Butterfly and has been featured various across Technode, 36KR, Elle Singapore The Straits Times, Business Times, Channel News Asia.
