Zhangjiajie is a place not to be missed on your tour of China. Located on the north-western border of Hunan Province, this National Forest Park is famous for its unusual, but breathtakingly beautiful scenery, which includes more than three thousand unique rock ridges and sand stone quart peaks and eight hundred ghylls.
Marvel at this UNESCO World Heritage Site’s precarious peaks, clear-water streams, waterfalls, large karst caves, and dense forests, which are teeming with wildlife such as monkeys.

D1: Arrival in Zhangjiajie city
Local guide will meet and greet you at the airport or train station. 15 minutes transfer to hotel in Zhangjiajie city. Free time for you to explore the small city.

D2: Bailong Elevator, Yuanjiajie, Tianzi Mountain
After enjoying breakfast at your hotel, we will travel to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park(coverage: 4810 hectares; the highest altitude: 1262.5 meters), via bus. Explore the beautiful scenery, while making our way to Bailong Elevator, made entirely of see-through glass. Take a ride in this famous elevator, up to Yuanjiajie Mountain, and have a bird’s eye view of the breath-taking landscape. Once at Yuanjiajie’s summit, enjoy a 2.5-hour hike to the Pillar of Southern Sky. One of the tallest of the 3000 pillars in the park, this pillar was officially renamed as the Avatar Hallelujah Mountain (阿凡達-哈利路亞山), in honour of the film Avatar, which was inspired by these peculiar floating peaks. From there, we will proceed to the Platform of Forgetfulness to admire nearby peak-views before walking across the First Bridge Under Heaven. Lunch at the local restaurant will be available at your own expense. Next, we will take the park shuttle bus to visit Tianzi Mountain, known as 『the Monarch of the Peak Forest』. Pine trees, the Yu Bi (imperial brushes) Peaks, Xihai Stone Forest, and other incredible views and scenery await. We will then make our way back down. Opt to take the Mt. Tianzi Cable Way or hike down. Transfer back to the hotel, where you will have free time in the evening.
Optional evening activity is to see a Xiangxi Show, which highlights the culture of the Hunan people through dance and singing performances (available on day 3 also).

D3: Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon – Glass bridge – Baofeng Lake
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. We will then travel via bus (40min drive) to Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon. Hike through the Canyon and enjoy the beautiful, tranquil sceneries of breath-taking cliffs, lush forests, caves, colourful streams and rivers that surround you. Upon your decent, you can choose to slide down a 600-meter-long marble slide at no extra cost. You will be provided with a thick canvas and gloves to protect your hands, and be able to have fun and give your legs a rest! For those who dare, opt to walk along the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Glass Bridge. This bridge is not only the highest, but also the longest glass bridge in the world. It is not for the faint-hearted.
Afterwards,if you still have the energy, opt to visit Yellow Dragon Cave for its peculiar limestoneformations, underground streams, and large caverns.

D4 Tianmen Mountain, Sandstone Painting Institute, Airport/Train station
After breakfast, get ready to take the world's longest cable car to the top of Tianmen Mountain(the highest altitude: 1518.6meters), 7.5km long. Once we arrive at the mountaintop, wander along the Ghost Path, 1400m above land. Along the way, you can also appreciate tourist attractions like Celestial Mountain Top, Glass Path etc. You can also marvel at such sights as the 99-Turn Road and the 999-Steps that lead to the gate of Tianmen from up high on a glass skywalk (only 5 yuan for covers to go over your shoes). Opt. to take a chairlift to see the Tianmen temple, or choose to walk along a footpath. We will then take the escalator to reach Tianmen Gate. After descending Tianmen Mountain, we will take a shuttle bus ride along the Heaven-Linking Avenue. On our way back to Zhangjiajie city, we will stop at a sandstone painting art gallery, where you can learn and appreciate this new kind of painting style.
You will then have free time until your tour concludes with your transfer to the airport or train station.

Located in the famous Wulingyuan Scenic Area, Pullman Zhangjiejie Hotel is a 5-star hotel with a seasonal outdoor pool. The roomsfeature free wired internet.

Zhangjiajie Travel Tips
Cuisine in Zhangjiajie, Hunan province is known to be very spicy! Local dishes are typically laced with hot peppers and chillies. Even instant noodles are mainly chilli flavour. Therefore, if you are not a fan of spicy food, please tell your guide that you would prefer non-spicy dishes.
Local people in Zhangjiajie are mainly from Tujia or Miao ethnic minority groups. When you are travelling in Hunan, please respect their culture and customs and listen to your guide.
Please wear non-slip shoes when visiting Zhangjiajie, as it may involve some hilly or steep paths. Please prepare some blister plasters if you are prone to any pain in your feet.
When take photos around the peaks, please be very careful whenever you move.
There are some steep roads sometimes, please slow down. For your security, be sure that "when you are still walking, don’t look at the view; when you are looking at the view, don’t walk."

D2上午遊張家界國家森林公園。 乘坐白龍電梯到袁家界觀景臺，觀看《阿凡達》中的「哈利路亞山」，乘景區環保車或徒步前往遊覽峰林奇觀——天子山。下午乘天子山索道下山遊覽峽谷和十裡畫廊。晚上觀看湘西民俗文化歌舞表演（自費）。
D3上午遊覽張家界大峽谷，觀賞空中玻璃橋。下午遊覽黃龍洞。晚上自由品嘗當地美食小吃。

第二天：遊中國第一個國家森林公園——【張家界森林公園】,觀【袁家界】（電梯上山已含）可觀賞到：電影《阿凡達》中「哈利路亞山」原型「乾坤柱」、天下第一橋、九天玄梯、猿人望月、拜仙臺、迷魂臺、後花園等景點。乘景區環保車前往遊覽峰林奇觀，被譽為峰林之王的【天子山】，千座山峰兀立雲霧中、風光旖旎、景色秀美，遊覽天子閣、西海石林、御筆峰、仙女獻花、賀龍公園、賀龍銅像等景點（隨後乘天子山索道下山)；遊峽谷兩岸林木蔥蘢、野花飄香、奇峰異石千姿百態，像一幅巨大的山水畫卷的【十裡畫廊】。

旅遊注意事項
張家界食物一般多油多辣，飲食上不能適應的旅客請選擇清淡的飲食。
張家界地區多是土家族和苗族等少數民族，請尊重他們的文化與習俗。
上山輕裝，少帶行李，以免過多消耗體力，影響登山。但可帶適量的乾糧、礦泉水、運動功能型飲料、高熱量零食如牛肉乾、巧克力等，隨時補充體力。
登山以穿登山鞋、布鞋、球鞋為宜，穿皮鞋和塑料底鞋容易滑跌。為安全計，登山時可買一根竹棍或手杖。
山高路陡，遊山時以緩步為宜，不可過速。為安全計，一定要做到「走路不看景，看景不走路」。邊走邊看比較危險。
遊山時應結伴同行，相互照顧，不要隻身攀高登險。
登山時身略前俯，可走「Z」形。這樣既省力，又輕鬆。
在高峻危險的山峰上照像時，攝影者選好角度後就不要移動，特別注意不要後退，以防不測。
為了保護張家界風景區的清潔衛生，請不要隨地亂扔垃圾、廢物，沿途皆有垃圾箱。
