原文
So far it is still controversial whether these re-differentiated cells can obtain fully functional desired cells even though they can express multiple lineage-specific markers and also appear to represent physiologically relevant cell types, especially for those trans-differentiated cells. Therefore, it is essential to seek an available cellular reservoir to replace lost or damaged neuronal cells to promote functional recovery after CNS injury. Astrocytes are considered to be active components of neuronal circuits in CNS network. Compelling evidence demonstrate that astrocytes can be reprogrammed to convert into NSCs following certain appropriate transcriptional cues and/or inductive signals, and these astrocytes-derived NSCs can re-differentiate to neuronal and glial cells, indicating they acquired multipotency. These findings could provide insights into the use of astrocytes as a prospective candidate for CNS injury and various neurological disorders, but it also raises an important question as to what molecules trigger astrocytes reprogramming to generate NSCs. Accordingly, finding out these signal molecules responsible for directing neural fate conversion of astrocytes into pluripotent NSCs made possible to attain final goal of using these cells as endogenous cell source for in situ neural repair in the CNS without any invasive graft.
It remains controversial whether ...
這裡區分一下even though、even if和even when三者之間的關係:
比如這裡, they can express multiple lineage-specific markers,表達的就是一個既定的事實,所以可以將can去掉。
This is particularly true for the trans-differentiated cells.
第一個to引出形式主語的真正主語;第二個to連接seek an available cellular reservoir和replace lost or damaged neuronal cells;第三個to表示目的,可以理解成:為了「promote functional recovery」,「seek an available cellular reservoir to replace lost or damaged neuronal cells」很重要。
為了讓意思更加明確,可以把第三個to改為in order to。
這裡一般用現在完成時,類似表達還有:studies have shown that ...
These findings suggest that these cells are multipotential.
Astrocytes could therefore be a prospective candidate for the treatment of CNS injuries and various neurological disorders.
..., but it also raises an important question as to what molecules trigger astrocytes reprogramming to generate NSCs. Accordingly, finding out these signal molecules responsible for directing neural fate conversion of astrocytes into pluripotent NSCs made possible to attain final goal of using these cells as endogenous cell source for in situ neural repair in the CNS without any invasive graft.
made possible to attain final goal of中缺失形式主語和定冠詞,應改為:made it possible to achive the final goal of。
However, it will be essential to ascertain which signaling molecules are responsible for directing the neural fate conversion of astrocytes into pluripotent NSCs if these cells are to be used as an endogenous cell source for in situ CNS neural repair without an invasivegraft.
