Guangzhou had suspended general outpatient and specialist outpatient services. However, as of Monday (February 24), some hospitals have begun to reinstate these services.
As of Monday, all outpatient services at the Guangzhou First People’s Hospital and Guangzhou Women and Children’s Medical Centre have been resumed, excluding those offered by the dentistry department.
Outpatient services are now also available at the Nanfang Hospital of the Southern Medical University all day from Monday to Friday and on Saturday and Sunday mornings, while emergency rooms are open 24 hours per day.
Other hospitals, including the Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Zhujiang Hospital of the Southern Medical University, resumed regular consultations on February 17. Appointment systems requiring real-name registration are being used at most hospitals.
