2月5日,香港CMA檢定中心以及香港科技大學就全港首個流動檢測實驗室舉行新聞發布會。香港科技大學溫維佳教授、CMA檢定中心總監劉欣健先生（Y.K. Lau）等人出席了該發布會。
該流動實驗室由CMA檢定中心與香港科技大學聯合中國汽車工程研究院股份有限公司和深圳市尚維高科有限公司共同開發，讓分子診斷走進香港的千家萬戶成為現實。該實驗室內部主要分為三個功能區：試劑製備區、樣本處理區、擴增分析區。實驗室在安全體系、建造標準及功能上，與傳統實驗室一致，符合國際標準，但比傳統實驗室更加靈活，便利，可以為養老院、學校、公司、機場、郵輪、街道辦等服務，助力疫情防控常態化。

劉先生在發布會上表示，流動實驗室將在短期內進駐香港的老人中心、學校、小區等場所。該項目旨在助力疫情防控常態化，推動「產學研」 一體化，加速科技成果落地，未來的發展方向是開拓流動實驗室的海外市場。事實上，流動實驗室的項目不是短期內的想法，原計劃在去年的第五十五屆工展會上亮相，但由於疫情原因，工展會取消，才將發布會推遲至今。（工展會由香港中華廠商聯合會於1983年創辦，是香港最大型的戶外展覽會，集購物、娛樂於一體）
在發布會上，溫教授提到流動實驗室內部搭載的核酸擴增檢測分析儀（SWM-01）是目前全球最快的黃金標準核酸檢測儀器，能在40 分鐘內快速診斷出新型冠狀病毒，比現時使用的儀器快2-3倍，大大加快檢測時間。儀器使用了微流控晶片，通過快速傳熱技術擴增特定病毒核酸片段，儀器測試結果具備高準確率。另一方面這個檢測儀器輕巧便攜，操作方便，此技術及產品已被多國政府及醫療機構採用。年後，流動實驗室將在香港正式投入使用，服務香港市民，致力於提供快速、準確的核酸檢測服務，這將為廣大群眾提供巨大便利。
THE FIRST MOBILE LABORATORY IN HONGKONG
On the 5th of February 2021, the Hong Kong CMA Testing Center and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology held a press conference on the first mobile testing laboratory in Hong Kong. Dr. Weijia Wen from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and the Director of CMA Testing Center Mr. Y.K. Lau attended the conference.
The mobile laboratory was jointly developed by the CMA Testing Center and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, China Automotive Engineering Research Institute Co., Ltd., and Shenzhen Shineway Technology Corporation, making it a reality for molecular diagnostics to enter the thousands of households in Hong Kong.
The laboratory is divided into three functional areas: reagent preparation area, sample processing area, and amplification analysis area. The safety system, construction standards, and functions of the laboratory are consistent with traditional laboratories and comply with international standards, but they are more flexible and convenient than traditional laboratories. They can serve nursing homes, schools, companies, airports, cruise, street offices, and etc., and help normalize epidemic prevention and control.

The project aims to facilitate the normalization of epidemic prevention and control, promote the integration of"production, study, and research", and accelerate the landing of scientific and technological achievements. The future development direction is to open up the overseas market of mobile laboratory solutions. In fact, the mobile laboratory project is not a short-term idea. It was originally planned to be unveiled at the 55th Industrial Exhibition last year. However, due to the epidemic, the industrial exhibition was canceled and the press conference was postponed till today. (The industrial exhibition was founded by the Chinese manufacturers' Association of Hong Kong in 1983. At the press conference, Dr. Wen mentioned that the nucleic acid amplification analyzer (SWM-01) carried in the mobile laboratory is currently the world's fastest gold-standard nucleic acid detection instrument, which can quickly diagnose the new coronavirus within 40 minutes. It is 2-3 times faster than the current instrument, greatly speeding up the detection time. The instrument uses the microfluidic chip technology to expand specific viral nucleic acid fragments through rapid heat transfer technology, and the instrument test results have high accuracy. On the other hand, this testing instrument is light, portable, and easy to operate.
