皮特.瓊斯先生表示，鋼琴的收藏和收集均具有一定特殊性，難於購買、難於運輸和儲藏，集合成一定規模進行展覽更是難上加難，更不要提歷時三年將近120臺古董鋼琴陸續從世界各地漂洋過海來到挪威，其中的工作量和難度不言而喻。

皮特.瓊斯先生示，收藏古董鋼琴是很早就有的想法，三年前開始付諸實施，才發現個中困難難於言表。"目前，已經收集到了150臺鋼琴，已經有約100架運到了挪威，其餘仍在運往挪威的路途中。"他說，"懂得鋼琴的歷史和文化對學習鋼琴極有幫助，了解越多就越會愛上鋼琴。鋼琴的雕花、做工不代表鋼琴的全部，穿越歷史讀懂鋼琴文化，體會其中的韻味，才能幫助學琴者完成從技術到藝術的跨越。"
