應該有不少朋友喜歡吃「柿子」這種水果。可是這麼常見的水果，遇到老外，是不是不知道怎麼說呢？今天我們就來學習一下「柿子」的英語，那就是persimmon。A persimmon is a soft, orange fruit that looks like a large tomato.長得像大大的西紅柿、軟軟的、橘黃色的水果。例句：
Like the tomato, persimmons are not popularly considered to be berries, but in terms of botanical morphology the fruit is in fact a berry.
跟西紅柿一樣，人們一般不把柿子當作漿果。但從植物形態學上來講，柿子事實上是漿果。
有些朋友喜歡吃曬乾了的柿子，咱中文叫「柿餅」，在英語中，我們可以說那是dried persimmon。而至於中文裡用來指人的「軟柿子」，則不能說是soft persimmon，而可以用pushover。比如「我人好心軟，但並非軟柿子」，可以說：I’m a kind and sympathetic man, but no pushover.
