Recently, some injured and trapped wild animals such as the turtle, egret and python were found in Wanning and Dongfang, Hainan. Local people and the police rescued the injured wild animals and sent them back to nature.
On the evening of May 23, a villager in Lianhua Village, Liji Town, Wanning City, found that a large python was preying on the ducks he raised. In order to prevent the ducks from being attacked by pythons again and to ensure the safety of the villagers' lives and property, the villager and his family captured the pythons that weighs 11.5 kg. Python is a national protected wild animal.
The villagers and the staff of Qingpilin Nature Reserve escorted the python to the Qingpilin Nature Reserve, and finally the python returned to the embrace of nature.
At 13:00 on May 20, the Xinmei Police Station in Wanning City received a report from the masses that they found a large injured bird on the beach of Riyue Bay. The police immediately rushed to the beach of Riyue Bay and found that a big white bird with wet feathers was lying on its stomach, unable to move or fly because of a foot injury.
The police confirmed that the big white bird is an egret, which is a national second-level protected animal. Afterwards, the police put the injured egret in a carton and handed over to the Wanning Forest Police for further professional assistance.
Recently, in Sigeng Town, Dongfang City, when a villager dug a snail on the seashore in Heishugang, he picked up a turtle on the beach, which is a national second-class protected animal. The sea turtle weighing 7.5 kg ran aground due to low seawater and was suspected of being injured. So the villagers took them home and called the police for help.
The policemen rescued the turtle together with Marine Fisheries Department, Sigeng Town Government and Sigeng Ecological Protection Station, and released it to the sea when the tide rose.
