A postdoctoral position is available in the Billadeau lab. The laboratory uses molecular, biochemical, animal models, and imaging approaches to understand the regulation of receptor trafficking. This position will be funded through a recently awarded NIH grant with the goals to perform experiments aimed at elucidating the function of phosphoinositides and small GTP-binding proteins on WASH-regulated receptor trafficking. In particular, the goals of the application are to gain molecular insight into how WASH and FAM21 bind phosphoinositides, and the mechanisms by which the CCC complex regulates vesicular trafficking through the recruitment and activation of Rab GTPases and MTMR proteins at WASH-containing endosomal subdomains.
