翁山蘇姬1945年生於緬甸，是緬甸國父昂山將軍的女兒，1990年贏得緬甸大選，卻被軍政府陸陸續續軟禁15年。1991年獲諾貝爾和平獎。翁山蘇姬倡導非暴力抵抗，拒絕離開祖國，終於推動緬甸在去年產生重大變革，走上民主的道路。
