It was a beautiful Saturday morning in New York City.

As the sun rose, so did the Amazing Spider-Man, who was up early and on the hunt for crime.
隨著太陽升起，超凡蜘蛛俠也早早開始追捕罪犯。
He had already stopped two robberies and webbed up one car thief - all before 7 a.m.!
在7點之前，他已經阻止了兩起搶劫案，並抓了一個偷車賊。
But now it was time for Spidey to take off his mask and make his way over to the Central Park Zoo.
現在蜘蛛俠該脫下面具然後前往中央公園動物園了。
It was time for Peter Parker to have some fun!

As fun as it was being the Amazing Spider-Man, sometimes a regular Saturday was even better, especially if Peter got to spend it at the zoo with his friend Mary Jane Watson.
雖然當超凡蜘蛛俠很有趣，但有時候彼得寧願過一個普普通通的星期六，尤其是當他可以和朋友瑪麗珍沃森一起在動物園度過這一天。
"Getting so close to these wild animals is exciting, isn't it, Petey?" Mary Jane asked.

But Peter took a step back. "This might be a little too close," he whimpered.

Peter liked pretending to be afraid of things he wasn't in order to protect his secret identity.

But suddenly something happened that really did make him worry.

My spider-sense is tingling, thought Peter.

Looks like Spider-Man won't have the afternoon off after all.

Peter wished he could spend more time enjoying the zoo, but he knew that with great power came great responsibility.
彼得真希望他能多花點時間享受參觀動物園，但是他知道，能力越大，責任也越大。
"Somebody help!" screamed the zoo's janitor. "A gorilla's gotten loose!"
「救命啊！」動物園清潔員尖叫，「一隻大猩猩跑出來了！」
And what a giant gorilla it was.

He was three times the size of a man with enough power to crush a nearby hot-dog cart.

Peter realized that even though the animal was probably just confused, he could still accidentally hurt someone.

With everyone looking at the beast, Peter snuck away to change into his costume.

He hoped Mary Jane wouldn't notice him leaving, but he was certain that if the gorilla wasn't enough of a distraction already, surely she'd be distracted by the sight of her friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.

But when Spider-Man returned, he found somebody else already on the scene.

It was Kraven the Hunter, the greatest hunter alive.
原來是獵人克萊文，世界上最強大的獵人。
Within a matter of seconds, he showed the powerful primate who the king of the jungle really was.
幾秒鐘內，獵人克萊文就向大猩猩展示了他叢林之王的真正力量。
The crowd applauded as Kraven quickly subdued the gorilla with a choke hold and dragged him back into his cage.
獵人克萊文迅速制服了大猩猩，並把它拖回籠中，人群歡呼鼓掌。
Emerging from the lair, Kraven locked the door behind him as flashbulbs popped and reporters took pictures of this newly crowned hero.
從籠子裡出來後，獵人克萊文將籠子鎖上，記者們爭先恐後拍下了這位新英雄的照片。
Like a leopard returning from a kill, Kraven stood triumphant.

His clothes were dirty, and he smelled like the jungle.

A reporter shouted, "What are you doing in America, Kraven?"

With the growl of a wildcat, the hunter responded, "I have defeated every animal there is, so today I hunt the most dangerous creature alive...man. But not just any man - Spider-Man!"

Spidey couldn't believe his ears.

Hunt me? he said to himself.

"There must be a mistake," Spidey began. "You didn't come all this way just to squash a spider, did you? Surely you must have me confused with some other charming, handsome, and radioactive web-head."
「你肯定搞錯了，」蜘蛛俠說道，「你那麼老大遠來壓扁一隻小蜘蛛？你肯定是把我和其他一些迷人、英俊、有放射性的英雄混淆了吧。」
Kraven wasn't amused.
獵人克萊文沒有覺得很好笑。
Without warning, Kraven lunged at Spider-Man with the force of a rhino.
突然，獵人克萊文用犀牛的力量向蜘蛛俠撲過來。
Luckily the wall-crawler jumped out of the way just in time.
幸運的是，蜘蛛俠及時跳開了。
"Whoa! You must be lost, pal. The auditions for The Lion King are downtown," Spider cracked.
「哇！你肯定迷路了，朋友。電影獅子王的試鏡現場在市中心呢。」蜘蛛俠笑著說。
But even as he joked, Spider-Man could feel how strong Kraven was.
但就算蜘蛛俠在開玩笑，他也能感受到獵人克萊文的強大。
He had the strength of an elephant and the speed of a panther.
他擁有大象的力量和黑豹的速度。
Unfortunately, he also had something else.
不幸的是，他還有秘密武器。
Spider-Man is tougher than I imagined, Kraven said to himself.
蜘蛛俠比我想像中更強大，獵人克萊文對自己說。
I will have to cheat by sticking him with this poisonous venom I took from a snake.
我必須作弊用蛇毒來對付他。
"You can't win, Spider-Man," roared the hunter. "I have the secrets of the jungle on my side!"
「你贏不了我，蜘蛛俠，」獵人克萊文叫道，「我擁有來自叢林的秘密武器！」
But before Kraven could inject Spider-Man with the poisonous venom, the web-slinger swung into action.
獵人克萊文還沒來得及給蜘蛛俠注射毒液，蜘蛛俠已經展開了行動。
"That's fine with me." Spidey laughed. "All I need are the secrets of a spider!"
「小菜一碟！」蜘蛛俠笑道，「我只需要蜘蛛的秘密武器就足夠了。」
Spider-Man did it!
蜘蛛俠做到了！
He captured the greatest hunter alive.
他抓住了世界上最強大的獵人。
Without missing a beat, Spidey fired his web-shooters so that Kraven wouldn't be able to hunt or hurt anyone else.
轉眼間，蜘蛛俠射出他的蜘蛛液體，獵人克萊文無法再追捕或傷害任何人了。
When he was finished, Spidey walked over to Kraven and apologized.
贏得這場戰鬥後，蜘蛛俠走向獵人克萊文，向他道歉。
"Sorry I had to ruin your birthday," Spidey said.
「真抱歉，我毀了你的生日。」蜘蛛俠說。
"My birthday?" cried Kraven. "Why would you think it's my birthday?"
「我的生日？」獵人克萊文叫道，「為什麼你認為今天是我的生日？」
"Well," said Spidey, "you look like a monkey. And you smell like one, too."
「因為，」蜘蛛俠說，「你看起來和聞起來真像只猴子，祝賀你今天重生成了一隻猴子！」
With that, Spider-Man turned to leave.
說完，蜘蛛俠轉身離開。
He had to change out of his costume and get back to Mary Jane.
他換了衣服，回到瑪麗珍身邊。
But even with the unexpected arrival of a Super Villain on a Saturday afternoon, it was still a great day for both Peter Parker and the Amazing Spider-Man.
雖然出現了超級壞蛋，但對於彼得帕克和超凡蜘蛛俠來說，這仍然是一個美好的一天。
