旅美大熊貓「寶寶」啟程回國啦！
用我大CRI駐美首席記者呂曉紅的話來說，那待遇是「總統級」的！
據介紹，寶寶乘坐的是聯邦快遞熊貓特快專機，機上配有專屬飼養員、獸醫，還有55磅竹子、2磅蘋果和10加侖水等特殊行李。
看看現場記者的長槍短炮，這陣仗不亞於總統出訪啊。

2013年8月23日，「寶寶」在華盛頓國家動物園出生。她的父母是2000年從中國來美的「添添」和「美香」。
寶寶有多紅呢？想當年，她出生百日，美國第一夫人米歇爾都發來視頻表示祝賀。
寶寶人氣有多高？據媒體報導，「寶寶」與公眾的首次見面會被來自全美各地的民眾擠爆了，有「鐵桿粉絲」驅車9小時只為一睹她的芳容。
眼看著寶寶出生，長大，變「網紅」，現在她要回家了，美國人民捨不得啊……
華盛頓國家動物園開展了一系列活動與寶寶告別——有特殊的告別禮物，例如做成中國寶塔形狀的特製「蛋糕」。
有寶寶成長精彩瞬間的回顧，有網絡直播……他們還準備了有關寶寶回家的各種常見問題的Q&A。
許多人給寶寶寫信表達祝福，這些信件將隨寶寶一起回國。
還有更多人在社交媒體上表達不舍。

-我已經開始想念寶寶了。

-她太可愛了。祝一路平安。許多人都會想念她的。

當然，心情不太好的美國人也沒忘記順便黑一把川普總統！
反正，現如今，不管發生了什麼事兒，美國人民都要隨手懟一下川普。

Bao Bao is now being air-lifted from Washington DC to the Dujiangyan Panda Base in Sichuan where she will spend a month in quarantine before joining the local breeding program.
Director of the Smithsonian National Zoo, Dennis Kelly, was at Dulles International Airport on Tuesday to see-off Bao Bao onboard the FedEx Panda Express.
"Bao Bao is only the second surviving cub born in the National Zoo in 45 years. That's how hard it is. So it's very bitter sweet for us at the national zoo to see her go. But it's my hope, it's my dream, that Bao Bao's offspring, her descendants will be once reintroduced back into the wild of China."
Panda keeper Marty Dearie and veterinarian Katherine Hope will be accompanying the panda on its 16-hour nonstop flight.
However, not all of Bao Bao's human companions are able to make the trip.
Brandie Smith was the curator of the giant panda program at the National Zoo when Bao Bao was born.
"I have been trying to think back, there have been so many, it is hard to pick just one. I remember her birth and what a miracle that seemed like, I remember silly moments like her first steps, I remember her first teeth, when her first tooth came in. So it's like the same milestones I remember for my own kids."
Despite losing their panda companion, as well as the Zoo's main attraction, staffer Mariel Lally says employees of the Zoo realize Bao Bao has an important role to play in helping the species' return to the wild.
"Bao has a very specific personality, she is very feisty, she kind of goes out in the morning, doesn't really look at us, wants to do her own thing, comes back when she needs something, she is a very interesting animal just the way she interacts. she has one job and that is to help out wild giant panda, she could possibly maybe be a mother to offspring that could go into the wild, and I think that is amazing."
There are currently only around 18-hundred pandas living in the wild and 400 in captivity.
As such, every birth is important for the conservation of the species.
This is why panda loan agreements require that panda cubs born overseas are eventuallly sent to China before they reach maturity to become part of the breeding program.
