Last Friday, luxury shopping mall L』Avenue hosted a launch party for the international photography exhibit, 「The Journey.」 Put together with the help of Elaine Harris, a well-known French curator, the launch party kicked off with a Q&A with the two photographers featured in the exhibit and also included a fashion show by L』Armoire.

「The Journey」 photo exhibit is compiled of works by renowned Canadian and French photographers Kourtney Roy and Corinne Mercadier and seeks to highlight how the space around us impacts our mood without us even realising it.
Roy’s photographs feature 「The Woman」 a solitary presence reduced to doing nothing more than filling the rolls imposed on her as a woman in society. She can be found in a variety of surroundings, each with an expression of dull compliance and longing.

Mercadier’s work is more surrealist than Roy’s, yet both complement each other exquisitely well.

Once fans and VIPs at the opening had finished looking around the exhibit they were invited to sit down and watch L』Armoire’s fashion show, put together in partnership with Ted Baker, EVISU, HECHTER, SEPHORA, JORYA, LEVVV, March 5, Moonalisa, Mofiel, My O My and others. The collision of the two forms of visual expression delighted those in attendance.
L』Avenue is a boutique mall in Shanghai’s Changning district. Inside customers can enjoy a VIP experience at a range of luxury stores, including Alexander McQueen, Ted Baker, Mothercare, LOUIS VUITTON, Dior, LOEWE, BVLGARI, German Luxury brand FALKE, CK underwear, GU cycle, Pain Chaud, JUMBO SEAFOOD, Welton London and more.
「The Journey」 exhibit is open from today until November 5th from 10:00-22:00.
