The so-called ice-bucket challenge - dump ice water on yourself, post and tag yourself on social media and challenge others to do the same - got its start among golfers as a way to support pet charities. In just a few weeks, it has become a major fundraising coup for patients and organizations with ALS, a neurodegenerative disorder.

全世界最盛大的網絡購物節"雙十一"以阿里巴巴571億元的創紀錄銷售額畫上句號。淘寶方面表示，在其5億註冊用戶中，可以稱為"剁手族"的已達108萬。
"Hands-chopping people" are big online spenders who self-mockingly say that they would like to chop their hands off after buying too much online.
"剁手族"其實就是網購大戶，他們自嘲地表示，因為在網上買了太多東西，他們恨不得將自己的手剁下來。
3. Dobe 逗比
逗比這個詞可火了有一陣子了，年輕人喜歡用，郭德綱還在相聲中調侃道"你是猴子請來的逗比嗎"，這麼深入人心的詞哪能沒有英文翻譯？就讓我們來學學它的英文表達。
Dobe is a Japanese slang word for "idiot". Chinese youngsters use it to refer to a ridiculous person who is a stranger, or a funny one who is a friend.
"逗比"是日語裡用來形容笨蛋的俚語。中國的年輕人用它來形容那些荒唐的陌生人或好笑的朋友。
We can comprehend this composite word as a funny 2B (idiot). Simply put, it means someone is funny, a little silly and cute. With its widespread use, more and more people consider it a neutral word. If we use it to describe a stranger, we are more talking of a stupid stranger. If it alludes to a friend, then it is used to mock and make fun of the friend.
根據合成詞原則"逗比"可以理解為：挺逗的二比。簡單的說，就是說某個人很逗，有點犯二，有點可愛。隨著它的使用範圍逐步擴大，越來越多人將它用作中性詞。如果用來描述陌生人，指別人傻的意思多一點。如果是好朋友之間說，那就是調侃和玩笑的意思多一點！

4. Easy like 點讚狂人
你的朋友圈上有沒有這樣的朋友？他們基本上會對你或者每一個朋友發的東西點讚，這樣的人我們叫他easy like - 點讚狂人。
An easy like gives up their "likes" almost indiscriminately. Typically they will "like" almost any post you make, regardless of how mundane or unlikeworthy it actually was.
一般來說，點讚狂人點讚無國界，他們幾乎對什麼都點讚，不管它們是否無聊或值得被贊。
He "likes" your coffee, your phiz, even your book. It seems that "like" has become another way of expressing emotions whether happy, sad, boring or astonishing.
發一杯咖啡他點讚，發一個表情他點讚，發一本書他也點讚……無論快樂、悲傷、無聊或驚奇，點讚已經成為他們表達情感的另一種方式。

5. Jet setting lifestyle 土豪生活
最近Instagram上的一個小公主Pixie火了，不為別的，就因為她年僅2歲就擁有了自己的事業，並且過著jet setting lifestyle——土豪生活！Jet set的意思是乘噴氣客機到處旅遊的富豪。
Jet setting lifestyle refers to a lavish lifestyle the rich leads.
土豪生活就是富人所擁有的一種奢侈的生活方式。
Pixie has hundreds of photographs showing off her lavish lifestyle online. In one she sits dressed in shades and a sun hat, posing by a pool at a luxury villa sipping at a non-alcoholic cocktail with the air of a millionaire lady.
網上有幾百張炫耀Pixie奢侈生活方式的照片。在一張照片裡她戴著墨鏡和太陽帽，坐在豪華別墅的遊泳池旁邊，啜著一杯無酒精雞尾酒，活脫脫一位百萬名媛。

6. Friendvertising 朋友圈營銷
代購護膚品、奶粉、奢侈品……打開微信朋友圈，仿佛登陸了手機淘寶網。時下，一種新的熟人營銷模式在朋友圈悄然興起。這種利用朋友圈的"殺熟"做法就是friendvertising(朋友圈營銷)。
Friendvertising is the use of social media website "friends" to disseminate video adverts for products. Some videos have an apparently good message that people want to share and others are heart-warming or funny, but all are covert brand endorsements.
"朋友圈營銷"是藉助社交網站上的"好友"來散播產品的視頻廣告。有些視頻顯然包含一些人們想分享的正面信息，還有的或溫情或搞笑，但所有這些視頻都是暗中為某個品牌代言。

2014年初韓劇《來自星星的你》大熱，一時間"炸雞和啤酒"成了人們舌尖上的新美味。細數看過的韓劇，還是有不少讓人印象深刻的美食的，一起來看看這些美食的英語說法吧。

8. Rebound guy/girl 備胎
失戀後的情感空窗期最是難熬，有人會在此傷心困頓之際，隨便找一個異性來交往，以填補內心的空虛並試圖麻醉自己。這時候交往的對象，就屬於rebound guy/girl(備胎)，說白了就是"temporary lover(臨時情人)"。
Rebound guy/girl is a guy/girl used on the sideline by an individual if he/she thinks his/her relationship is going to end.
"備胎"就是一個人覺得一段感情快要結束時，留在身邊"備用"的曖昧男/女。
Rebound guy/girl would do anything for you or accompany you once you ask, for instance, having a lunch, seeing a film or going to a concert. Also, they would never go Dutch but take care of you for everything. Apart from that, they are likely to bring you gifts if they happen to be born loaded including luxury bags, laptops, jewelry as long as you are joyful.

深夜曬美食是拉仇恨，朋友圈曬旅行美照也是拉仇恨。好像任何美好的東西曬給朋友看，他們都會說這是在拉仇恨。那麼這個"拉仇恨"用英文到底怎麼說呢？
When someone shows off to his or her friends anything from a newly bought bargain to a weight loss achieved in a short time, some of the friends will say, as an indirect flatter, that it is an act of courting envy.
當有人向他/她的朋友們曬自己最新買到的打折品或者展示短時間內成功瘦身的成果等值得炫耀的事情時，朋友們一般都會說他們這是在"拉仇恨"，其實，這是間接的恭維啦。

10. Wake Up Call campaign 起床照挑戰
Celebrities have been taking to Twitter, Facebook and Instagram in their droves to take part in the new Wake Up Call campaign, which is being dubbed the new Ice Bucket challenge.
大批明星在Twitter、Facebook和Instagram上參加新冰桶挑戰——"起床照挑戰" 。
The brand new Internet craze involves celebrities posting selfies of themselves as they wake up in bed - and aims to raise money and awareness for UNICEF. Pictures are posted with the hashtag #WAKEUPCALL #UNICEF - with each person nominating three others to do the same.
參加這場新網絡狂潮的名人們要發布自己在床上醒來時的自拍照，照片帶著#起床照挑戰 #聯合國兒童基金會的字樣，每個人點名其他三個人做同樣的事情，此舉意在引起人們對"聯合國兒童基金會"的關注並為其捐款。
