1. 跟外國人見面，怎麼問安？握手？擁抱？親親？親幾下？
電影中，西方人問安時會 kissing on the cheek (臉頰上親一下）
In the bible, kissing was much more common.
在聖經中，我們也會經常看到這種親嘴問安的方式。
Even between men. 甚至男人之間也如此
因此我們會 puzzled（迷惑）：
Puzzle 迷惑
Hug 擁抱
Handshake 握手
這幾種問安方式到底有什麼不同和講究呢？
重要概念：
Low context culture 低語境
High context culture 高語境
如何判斷高低語境?
靠兩點 ：
Tone of voice ：語氣
Body language : 肢體語言
If you don’t talk a lot about what’s happening
表達夠含蓄隱晦,
then you live in a high context culture.
那就是高語境文化。
Ranking 語境排名：
China and most Asian cultures are veryhigh context
中國是最高語境國家！
high context 最高語境（表達最隱晦）排名：
1 China 中國
2 African countries 非洲國家
3 Arab countries 阿拉伯國家
4 Greek cultures 希臘國家
5 Mexican 墨西哥
Is America a low context culture?
美國是最低語境的國家麼？
No !!
Germany is a lower context culture
哇，居然是德國 !
德國是表達最直接的國家

2. 最常見的西方禮儀：握手
The handshake is good to start with because it’s not too intimate (親密）
You can never go wrong with the handshake.
Few people will refuse one.
握手不會出錯，一般情況下握手是沒人拒絕的。
有時碰到油膩大叔心裡上是不想握手的，
油膩大叔：
creepy uncle
dirty old man

3. 握手要注意：Something you need to pay attention
Your thumb should be touching each other,meat between thumb and forefinger
雙方的大拇指和食指的肉要貼合在一起。
a good strong grip. 強有力的握手
如果握手不夠有力，你完全可以這樣補救：
That was a weak handshake, let’s redo it!
這樣直接講出來，非但不尬，而且能夠展示你對對方的一種在意。
4. 握手這個禮節，是怎麼來的？
為了表示和平 a sign of peace：
握手時，都是伸出每個人的 dominant hand(常用的手），
這隻手也叫做：weapon hand 武器手
握手時就表示：
I offer that you’re protected.
你是安全的。（因為我手裡沒有武器。）
比如，在 Gangster movies 黑幫電影，
head bosses 老大們見面不會輕易握手，
一旦握手，就是一個 big sign！
That’s their way to show peace.
這是他們表達和平的方式。
