法新社消息，馬來西亞前總理納吉布28日因價值數十億美元的「一馬發展公司」(1MDB)醜聞被判12年監禁。
報導稱，吉隆坡高等法院還下令納吉布支付2.1億林吉特（約合3.5億人民幣）的罰款。此前，吉隆坡高等法院就納吉布涉src國際案宣布判決，7項指控罪名全部成立。
納吉布2009年擔任總理後設立名為「一馬公司」的國家投資基金。他任總理期間，有媒體稱「一馬公司」中有數十億美元去向不明，其中6.81億美元（當時約合26億林吉特）進入納吉布的個人帳戶。納吉布否認存在違法行為。
納吉布此前還被指控利用職權在涉及「一馬公司」前子公司src國際的交易中謀利4200萬林吉特，觸犯了相關法律，涉嫌貪汙和背信等罪名。納吉布對這些指控予以否認。

The previous government had sought more than $2.7 billion in fines and had charged more than a dozen executives with fraud. Under the settlement, criminal charges against the bank and the executives were dismissed.
