「卷福」今年10月份將進駐倫敦杜莎夫人蠟像館啦~~
日前工作人員來為其丈量尺寸,那「謎之臉長」讓其不得不用巨型尺具,也引得網友捧腹:不要黑他了。
His popularity continues to soar with a growing army of loyal fans who have taken it upon themselves to be known as 'Cumberb******.'
So it's only fitting actor Benedict Cumberbatch's immense talents be celebrated with a Madame Tussauds wax work.
The Sherlock star was measured up for his future double in London on Monday and was quite chuffed about the honour. 'Finally, I can photobomb myself,' the 38-year-old joked.
Indeed, the London local is well-known his hilarious photoboming antics after he famously stole the show on the red carpet at the Oscars earlier this year, hijacking other stars' pictures by sneaking into their shots.
Benedict visited the famous London attraction to allow the sculptors and technicians to take dozens of measurements and photographs for his likeness, which will make its debut in October.
'What a weird and wonderful compliment to be included in the ranks of talent already committed to wax. I've been accused of being wooden in my work but never waxy,' the Atonement star said.
Adding: 'The main privilege for me was the process and seeing the amount of exacting work and skill brought to every detail of this art form.'
'It is a wonderful combination of old and new, high-tech and lo-fi skills. Measurements, hand inserted individual hairs and sculpted features.'
He continued: 'It's an extraordinary experience. Also my agents will be thrilled, they've wanted a clone of me for some time.'
And the VIP treatment doesn't end there for Benedict, his figure will take residence in the A-list section of the exhibition - which is just a stone's throw from Sherlock Holmes' residence at 221b Baker Street - and will be nestled alongside other respected stars such as Dame Judi Dench, Kate Winslet, Brad Pitt and Johnny Depp.
Benedict 2.0 will be dressed for the red carpet in a dapper dark suit.
'Our guests made it very clear they wanted to see him in the attraction, and we can't wait for them to meet his figure later this year,' said the general manager of Madame Tussauds London, Ben Sweet.
Meanwhile Benedict is continuing to keep busy with various films including crime drama Black Mass, which he's currently filming alongside Johnny Depp, and he's also just been announced as one of the lead characters in Flying Horse, a biopic on the life of photographer Eadweard Muybridge.
As for what he thinks about his fans' cheeky nickname, a diplomatic Benedict told Caitlin Moran in an interview for The Times: 'I won't allow you to be my b******. I think it sets feminism back so many notches. You are... Cumberpeople.'
