I really enjoy sesame chicken; boring, I know; therefore I'm looking to
diversify my Chinese food ordering habits.
我真的很喜歡芝麻雞，很大眾，對吧。因此為了讓我在點餐的時候能有更多選擇。。。

I don't think I've ever really eaten Chinese Food, if I have,
then I feel bad for the Chinese in general. Chinese restaurants in T.O.
don't seem to try very hard at all. I'm sure Chinese people turn their
noses in disgust at all these fat white people chowing down at all you can
eat "Chinese" buffet.
我應該不算吃過真正的中餐，如果要算的話，我對中餐的感覺普遍不好。中餐館的外賣做得好像都很不用心。我敢說中國人一定對我們這些肥頭大耳的白人大快朵頤的中式快餐嗤之以鼻。

oh yeah egg rolls too, and crab rangoon, and at a place at the end of my
block (double happiness, i love the name!)
they make a thing called crab toast that is great, but i eat too many and get queeeesy.
其實還有蛋卷啊，炒蟹腳都不錯，還有，在我住的那條街上有間餐館，叫雙喜 ，我愛這名字！他們會做一種叫蟹肉吐司的， 很棒。不過我吃的太多了 ，有點想吐。。。

I'm not a big fan of Chinese Food. There used to be a place
near where I worked called the 'China Buffet'. A guy got food poisoning
and it was quickly redubbed the 'China Barfet'.

That place's food wasn't even very good to begin with.

But really I hate Cantonese food. As a rule it's all far too oily,
vegetables are overcooked and chicken is ruined with bone fragments.
不過其實我挺討厭廣東菜的。太多油了，蔬菜也煮過頭，雞肉裡骨頭太多也不去掉。
With a vinegar rather than oil base, Shanghainese and Taiwanese food is
preferrable but my favorite is Sichuan. Ever have someone pour "five
flower tea" from six feet away? It's brilliant.
相對來說，少油多醋的上海菜和臺灣菜更好，但我的最愛還是川菜啊。你們看過那些人從六尺外遠的地方倒五花茶沒？真是神技。

my fav is chicken wiff brocoli. sometimes, for variety, i get
beef wiff brocoli, but it aint as good. i aint too keen on trying new
things, so i aint tried much more than that. i mean, i have had a few
bites of some kind of darker chicken (darker sauce than c w/ b), which
also had brocoli, but i dont ever remember what it was called, so i dont
ever order it.

wrap thingy. I'm not sure what it's called, but you stuff it full of
different things. That's good....

At a restaurant, it's general tso's chicken.
在餐館裡，就是左宗棠雞了。（這菜其實跟左宗棠沒啥關係，但另有一番典故，在美國可算是很出名的中國菜）

absolute favorite chinese food: "rolling lettuce chicken" at su
hong's in palo alto. its been my favorite since before i could talk.
though no one makes it out in boston, so i console myself with mu shu
chicken...mmmm..plum sauce.... though the best thing i've ever eaten was
this chicken stuffed with rice and then fried at this place in san
francisco for our lunar new year celebration. it was amazing. absolutely
amazing. ooh, they had really good shark fin soup too.
我的最愛絕對是帕羅奧圖市su hong餐廳的炒雞鬆了，我在學會說話以前就愛上它了。可惜在波士頓沒人做這道菜，於是我就以木須雞片代替了。。。嗯。。。再加上李子醬。不過我吃過最美味的還是用這些雞肉配米飯，那一次是我們在舊金山慶祝農曆新年，好吃，真的好吃。噢，還有相當不錯的魚翅湯。

near a chinese bakery.

Actually, we don't eat anything gross here other than your basic cow and
pig's guts, pigeon with the head staring up at you, live wriggling prawns
dipped into boiling broth (good beer food). Across the border in Shenzhen
you can get dogmeat, ratmeat and fried giant cockroaches.

Then there's the billion Chinese medicine shops where you get dried
centipedes and bear bile and stuff.

Nothing can beat the dishes found in HK. In America, I may go
for black bean chicken. I heard that Martin Yan just opened up a rest. in
San Francisco called "Yan Can"... anyone been there before?

I'm always partial to Ginger Beef, although we do end up going for Dim
Sum... Bean curds... whatever those little puff balls with honey and pork
in them... never can get enough.

The last time I was at the Hilton Hawaiian I had the Imperial Beggar's
Chicken. It was the first time I had to order dinner the night before.

I'm pretty big into Chinese food, I've grown up with it since
my parents spent a year in China teaching and they've always cooked
Chinese food at home. Here are my favorites:
我非常中意中餐，因為我小時候父母到中國教了一年書，他們天天給我做中國菜吃。以下是我的最愛。
-Dim Sum (just about anything you can get at one of those places, yum!)
-Szechwan leg of lamb
-Peking duck (we had this for Thanksgiving)
-And I'm always up for a feast of gyoza (pot stickers)... sometimes
they'll just have a get together where they make hundreds of the things
and feast on 'em all evening. I went to one of those once, it was great.

those of you around here like alcimedes, is the Princess Garden, 1665 Rice
Street in St. Paul.

That's it. Very good. Little english for the wait staff. It
can make ordering stuff hard. Phoenix is where all the Chinese people go
for Chinese food.

yeah...lol....see, they bring each item around from table to table in
these giant steamers and they try their best to tell you what it is, and
occasionally you can understand, but usually it's a crap shoot. so take a
group and if you get something that you think is dreadful, you can pass it
around and someone else might dig it.

All of this applies only if you go to a good place. At many restaurants,
all this stuff tastes like horse shit.

I also love going to the Chinese restaurants that feature spicy food and
cater to the ethnic sort and ordering the really hot shit by the number
next to it. Then they serve it up to me with a goofy smile, like "ha ha
white American your mouth will sear with Chinese spices," then take a few
bites and ask him for some hot sauce.
我也很喜歡去那些中國麻辣風味餐館，挑戰那些只對中國人供應的大威力辣椒，當他們把這樣的菜端上來的時候嘴角都帶著傻笑，像是想說「哈哈哈你這美國白人，等著被中國辣椒口爆吧。」哥會從容地咬幾口，然後叫他們再來一瓶辣椒醬。

I just made Hunan Beef for dinner tonight . I am not sure I
have a favorite, I love most of it and love to make all of it.
我剛好晚餐做湖南牛肉。我不確定我最喜歡那種中國菜，但我大部分都喜歡，也很喜歡做。
i dont know man.... i am big into spicy and hot food... have a decent
tolerance but i had some chinese fried chicken that was hot as hell over
the holidays and it wasnt even their hottest "level"
這個嘛。。。我也很喜歡吃辣的說。自認為抵抗力不錯，但是有次吃中餐，一盤辣子雞像地獄烈焰一樣把我舌頭折磨了整個假期。 而他們卻說這種程度的辣根本算不上最辣。

It's all about the Singapore Mai Fun for me. Of course I'm
not a shrimp fan so I get it without shrimp, but the spicier the better.
My favorite Chines place in New York is Ying Chen's on 66th and Amsterdam.
新加坡挺有趣的。我不吃蝦，但喜歡辣。我最喜歡的紐約中餐廳是Ying Chen，在第66大街和阿姆斯特丹大街。
