If you understand how it works, and you're actually truly following your passion, and not actually just distracting yourself

If it is a true following of your passion, it will work, whether anyone says it will are not

Because that's how the mechanism works.

They may just not understand that, and they may be afraid to do it, because they don't understand how it works.
