He obviously would have failed his history lesson. If he did not pass his history lesson, then he was not qualified to teach history lessons. So if he is a history teacher, which apparently he is, then he should be fired. If he is not, then why he gives lessons on wrong history? The school should be investigated. Why was he hired? Why was he given to teach history? There is gross negligence on the part of the school as well.
I am not even worried what color he is, except that he is a failure.

I know many secondary students were indoctrinated with Anti China propaganda and how to protests at school. My friend told me his son asked to leave HK when he was 14 as the school in Kowloon was teaching him how to protest. He is now 20.

Hong Kong Museum of History has a permanent exhibition involving the two Opium wars. I don''t see how this teacher got it wrong.
And this exhibition is free entry; I do recommend a visit when you have time.

the irony is for more than a century the HK schools have taught a different history lessons to the HKers cultivating fears and mistrust of the mainlanders besides glorying the British. nowadays HKers are become losers by over reacting and trying all sorts of distractions and finding scapegoats instead of trying to fix their economy and becoming more competitive and improving themselves and seeing themselves as Chinese and not as Anglo-saxon Asians!

Even though I was born in HK and educated there until the fourth grade in the seventies, I find the current state of HK education so strange and downright looney tunes. Back then, there was just no political indoctrination of any kind that I could recall. There was some religious indoctrination since it was a Xtain school, but it was still a typical Chinese school in all the other ways including corporal punishment for the naughty! While the instruction was in Cantonese, there was no indoctrination of a "Hong Konger" identity separate from being Chinese, and we were taught to write with standard written Chinese grammar and never in the Cantonese dialect. I suppose at some point the education system was "localized" and the hanjians took the opportunity to divide HK people from the mainland by elevating Cantonese to a "separate language" and co-opting colonial history as official HK history to supplant the real Chinese history of HK which is quite separate and antagonistic to foreign colonial occupation. Of course, all this last-ditch effort will fail since it is just a "virtual wall" built up by hanjian brainwashing. With the west falling apart in front of their eyes, these hanjians'' last hope at resurrecting a dead "colony" for their foreign masters is quite doomed as well.
雖然我70年代出生在香港，並在那裡接受教育直到四年級，我也發現現在的香港教育是如此的奇怪，充滿了徹頭徹尾的胡扯。在我的記憶中，我當時的教育沒有任何形式的政^治方面的灌輸。因為我上的是一所宗教學校，所以有一些宗教方面的灌輸，但它在所有其他形式方面，依然是一所典型的中國學校，包括對淘氣孩子的體罰！儘管教學用的是廣東話，但是沒有任何把「香港人」與中國人身份區別開來的灌輸，而且老師用標準的漢語書寫體語法教導我們，從來不用廣東方言。我覺得在某一刻教育制度被「本地化」了，漢奸們抓住機會，把廣東話抬高為一種「獨立語言」，並且吸收殖民歷史作為香港的官方歷史，以取代香港真正的中國歷史——它與外國殖民佔領其實是相當隔離和對立的，以此來分化香港人和大陸人。當然，這些做法最終都會失敗，因為它只是漢奸們通過洗腦所建造的「虛擬藩籬」。隨著這些漢奸們眼睜睜看著西方世界分崩離析，他們妄圖復活那個已經死掉的「殖民地」的最後希望也註定要破滅。
