每日一句英譯英：「疾病潛伏期」用英語怎麼說？

我們學習英語最怕的，就是進入一種長期用中文學英語記英語後形成的想表達這個中文時「只有那個對應的英語詞句」狀態。

這是非常可怕的「英語狀態」：一是你「忘詞(那個對應的英語詞)」後，英語就會陷入「不會說了」的絕境。二是你從一開始就沒有經歷，或缺失「用英語表達英語」的能力訓練，不具備「換詞」表達能力，同樣結果還是陷入「不會說」絕境。

比如：「疾病/病毒潛伏期」：I only know the word:The virus lies/stays dormant for quite a long time.

你也只學會和記住be dormant這個英語詞，但你很難保證每次都能隨時說出be dormant這個對應的英語詞。
